I have tried most things. Worst is Mooncup (leaks in PIV and if you get fingered, they can feel it and move it) - best is Beppy - but you need to time it right - only works with medium flow (ie Tampax regular lasts 4 hours sort of medium) and you need to put it in literally 5 mins before the start of a booking and stick to 30 min max bookings. If I use it when heavy (ie Tampax Super only lasts 2  or 3 hours) - it leaks. I have to take out 2 days from work at the start of my monthly. Sammy

Just out of curiosity what do u do when a client wants to stick his fingers in go down?? I just don't work that week. I tried a sponge once and it was so uncomfortable and a nightmare to get out.

I heard the depo contraceptive injection stops ur period but also increases your appetite so makes u gain weight so not tried that either.. . As a result I've lost a few good bookings in that week. Please pm me some ways to get round this x

Been on the depo 13 years and its never increased my appetite or made me put on weight been absolutely fine on it but it can vary from person to person still worth a try though having no periods in this job is very convenient and even if it did increase your appetite if you are careful of the type of food you eat you could eat as much as you want an still not gain weight.

i do not have period since years for other reasons and honestly it is very convenient. no pain, no bloat, no tampon...
anyway even if you do not have you ll need to rest some day.
about weight gain, you can control it. if you like to eat, you ll do more workout.

then health side i m not a doctor but having period is very important for our health....

Hi ladies!

I'm in a little bit of a panic as I can't seem to get the sponge I put in back out!
Working during my period and I'm using a beppy sponge but for the life of me can't grab it to pull it back out! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Xx

If you read back, flushing with the shower head helps to make it heavier and thus easier to pull out - bearing down as you do.

Yes I had to go to the local walk in about a Beppy tampon in January of this year.  The client was well endowed and the sex had been quite frantic ...

They luckily did not know what one was and I just said I had been swimming lol.

I wouldn't use a sponge again, I put one in when I was in the heavy stage of my period and asked my boyfriend to have sex with me to test it, it got well and truly lodged inside me and he had to reach inside my vagina (too queasy to do it myself) and pull it out, but not before a waterfall of menstrual fluid and extreme pain. I guess I did something wrong.

I'm going to go back on the depo shot before long so I don't have to lose that week of work. I was on it once and it stopped my periods completely as well as clearing my skin up! Weight gain did happen, but as long as I've been alive I've been gaining weight, I've never really lost weight. Gaining weight is just something I do hahaha

I have a low cervix which probably helps, even though I have short fingers.

Tips to get beppy out
First of all try not to panic as that will make you tense up.
Get into the bath or shower and squat down.
Bear down with your pelvic muscles and at the same time reach up your vagina with your fingers.
If you don't feel the sponge, don't worry, this will take several goes until you can reach it.
Keep repeating the process of bearing down and reaching up until you can feel the sponge.
Once you can feel it, it's just a matter of time before you push it down far enough with your pelvic muscles to be able to grab it.

Don't worry about Toxic shock syndrome as beppy doesn't contain the chemicals that cause that. So if you need to go to bed, just sleep, and in the morning it will in all likelihood be easier to get out.

If all else fails, Walk in clinic it is.
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes

I've only worked once. the client asked specifically and wanted to give me oral for an inflated fee. If he had not offered me extra I would have declined as I don't enjoy working.

The Mooncup isn't designed to be used during sex, do you mean the Softcup? The Mooncup is more rigid and sits really low in the vagina and not up at the cervix so wouldn't penetration be impossible?

Same thing happened to me could not get the sponge out ended up in hospital they had to get it out i had a serious infection from it on tablets for ages... The doctor told me its dangerous to use a sponge for a period and i should not do it again which i never have...i either dont work on a period or when i took the pill daily would continue it sometimes so i did not have a period.

That experience was awful for me and very embarassing plus i was talked into it by agency pimp .
