Thank God for old threads!
Was about to post this morning for help as I have just come on and don't have any Beppe sponges, which is what I would normally use.

Wish the High St sold Beppe..........

My pal has suggested sea sponges this morning and came on here to post to see if there is anything else recommended so thanks Dollymopp, am off to Boots now to hunt out these Ramer sponges!  Phew!

Have a good week girls.
Love
Jen

Sorry if I'm being abit thick...but sponges? normal makeup sponges or special ones designed for the purpose of having sex??? xx
Sometimes it's not the youngest or the richest clients you want or the ones you have most in common with.

For me the perfect partner is one where I never have to be myself.

Well!  Theres another method of contraception I can check off my list as failed.  Having been on the Merina coil for just over 2 months and Norethisterone to stop the spotting, today I went to the loo to find I've started bleeding again (I'm supposed to be doing incalls tomorrow so really p*****off).  Why couldn't it have just waited until Wed as I've got an appointment with the dr's (because I've developed polips and fibroids since having it in), to have the damn thing taken out.  Felling utterly fed up and frustrated that I can't find anything that works.  :FF :'(

You know Dexi,
I tried the cerazette pills for one month only...it absolutely drove me insane..I was bleeding on and off for about 3 weeks...out of 4...I just gave up on it..so I am not taking any contraceptive..condoms..thats all ..as stupid as it seems..the pills just made me ill all the time..

I really would suggest the Ramer sponges ladies they are round or you get them in an oval shape, they do not break off and you can cut them into which ever size you want. Also you will have no blood coming through and easy to remove.

I am a heavy bleeder with severe clotting too and they are perfect for me.

Yes, what i tend to do though is not reuse them more than once.  As when I used to work on a period, i would take it out between appointments and clean it and leave it to dry out a bit and then put it back in.  And I never had BV either.

I use Instead soft cup - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Instead-Softcup-Pack-Period-Protection/dp/B0093LLXDK

I can do a full punt on my period while wearing these, except I tend to avoid on the first 2 days when the flow is heaviest, but after that I am fine.

Also, and this is THE main reason I use them, is that they are very easy to remove afterwards - which is something I found impossible with the Beppy and other sponges.  Nearly did myself an internal injury many a time trying to drag those things out - not pleasant.
So would highly recommend these - not for really heavy days but 3rd or so onwards for example.  Also they don't work out too expensive (link to Amazon above for ref.)

I had coil (not cropper) fitted since at the beginning of this month. I had bleeding since the 5 days of the fitting until now. It is normal to light bleeding. But annoying. I tried the beppy sponge which took me half an hour to get it out finally. I was scared that I had to A&E for it. It didn't stop the blood completely. I had some spots on the sheet. Luckily client didn't see it. Will never try sponge again. Hope the coil will work and finally stop my period completely.

I think best way is to offer limited service and not to risk our health and embarrassment.

I only have a period once a year due to my depo - old threads blah blah, but unfortunatley this is my week.

As I have endometriosis my flow is v heavy but I was coming to the end and noticed this thread so thought ok, get a sponge and hope for the best.  Take short jobs that don't involve touching me. So far so good.

I had a call yesterday from a 3year standing regular, with whom there is no full sex. Blow me if he didnt want hard banging!!!!!

Cant get the poxy sponge out! Never before have I probed myself so deeply, tried flushing with the shower head, trying to give myself intense orgasm.... All to no avail. All through the night had pains in my stomach, pelvis, whether from sponge or probing still v uncomfortable.

So today had to go to the GUM and get it dragged out with forceps - aggghhhhh.  The Doc said I would never have managed to get it myself as it was wedged up so high.

Never again, lesson learned!!!

Where can i buy Beppy sponges? I was looking in Boots and Superdrugs...in all both places was told they dont sell this...
They offered me Softcup. And this is my other question: does some one of you ladies use this? how is this softcup?

I use Softcup, but their claims that you can have sex whilst wearing it are a bit exaggerated in my opinion, or rather I'm sure you can have sex whilst wearing a cup but your partner will definitely notice that there is 'something' up there (my bf did). I prefer the cups to tampons, because you can wear one for up to 12 hours. However, for work I still use sponges, and big ones at that ;D
Yes, I'd risk it for a biscuit, as I said, you know me.
