I usually charge extra for A levels. I just offer complimentary A levels on my period and keep working but just regular tampons...

I've had irregular periods since my late teens, sometimes not having them for months at a time. The contraceptive implant has increased this for me, so I probably only have 3 per year, often they'll coincide with holidays or days off. Funnily enough flying brings it on. About twice a year I cancel my bookings because I've gotten a period that's too heavy(even when it's happening it's often nothing more than the odd 'spot' once a day) and happens to be a day with advance bookings.

Just to clarify, you CAN have the mirena coil if you haven't had children but fitting it can be more uncomfortable (I have had 2 children and have to have it done under general anaesthetic now for various reasons), and as it's a 5yr contraceptive they prefer to try other methods first on women who are nulliparous. It seems to cause either very heavy bleeding or nothing at all like myself & Rosaley! (Sorry for blurb, background in healthcare) xx

I tried the softcup last period, it was great!

I used to use sponges but then had a copper coil fitter last year and had a accident pulling the sponge out (grabbed 1 of my coil strings) so haven't used them since I just offer period play and tbh im busier when im on than off lol my phone rings constantly and there's just not enough hours in the day to see everyone

hi

i will say i was offered the coil instead of being sterilized as i didn't want any more children and my hubby is alot younger than me.

anyway i didn't find it a problem having it put in. the doc i saw was experienced at putting them in apparently it not simple i think they did numb the cervix a bit with some gel stuff. but ive had no periods and no sign of any what so ever( but i am 50 in nov.) for five years.

I must be the only person who finds it embarrassing telling a client its that time of the month...possibly due to having an old fashioned mother who doesnt talk about things like that pmsl. I havent told any yet, Ive just stopped working for a week. Also buying condoms and lube...total nightmare. I dont get them sent to the house in case someone else opens them. Bizarre tho, considering the job Im in!  ;D

I've tried the Beppy before, which worked fine... until I had to get it out. It was up there for 3 days before a friend convinced me to let her take it out. It was quite... traumatising, to have it up there for so long. I would have gone to Emergency is she wasn't able to get it out, but from her angle and with her nails it was easy. I'll have to try some of the tips here to get it out again next time.

At the moment I'm just skipping the sugar pills of the contraceptive. I'll do skip them for 3 months, and then "let" my body have a period. I'll be off for a full week with a heavy period, but it's better than dealing with it every 3 weeks. Stuff that.

Just a quick question. I was told to use wet wipes instead of a sponge when I'm working during my period. Are baby wipes better than a sponge

Hi I have had to use a sponge (baby sponge cut in half with lots of lube.) often hard to get out later on but works brilliantly. when you need to work and have just come on !
