Working close to home
« on: 08 January 2015, 07:09:22 pm »
Hi laydies
After long time looking for a flat in central London I have decided to rent something in croydon but it's close to my private home and none knows I am an escort. I live just two stops by train from there so my question is: would you working close to your home or this is too risky?

Hi laydies

I am recognised in the city centre in which I work. I have had people see me on AW and recognise me out and about, in the shopping centre and even in my block of flats (luckily, that didn't go any further than the guy booking me and seeing me and then telling me at the end. And I still wasn't thrilled.) I have had someone see me at a music gig and then on AW (it may have been the other way around) and then come and book me. Again that went OK but it was a bit unnerving.

I would recommend working some distance from where you live. My home town is more than 30 minutes away and I keep a very low profile there. I also make a point of always wearing spectacles, no makeup, and frumpy clothes - especially when I go to drop the kids off at school. I avoid talking to people in my home town (other than school teachers, etc) because I don't want my foreign accent recognised and I don't mention my nationality on my AW profile. It's not fool-proof but it's the best I can do.

Fabulassie I take it as you aren't a verified member on Aw, once you are they put your nationality on it which takes the p*ss I guess :FF

I work where I live and never had a problem (touch wood). I also do not show my face on my profile and have had any and all traces of previous photos removed from the internet.

I am verified, but I am a UK citizen (in spite of my foreign accent) so I am lucky there. I also like that someone searching for British will still find me as I assume they want a native english speaker and I am (I'm from a former colony). When someone queries this I just explain that I am a British citizen and they seem happy with that.

Unfortunately, my face is my best feature - my eyes and my smile in particular - so I do show mine. I don't have the sort of body where just showing my cleavage or whatever will draw them in.

Apart from when touring I've always worked within a five minutes drive of my home with no problems.  I've never shown my face for anonymity reasons and even if it was my best feature I still wouldnt show it.  I'm THAT precious re anonymity. If you are not worried though and can make money out of putting it in your private gallery then go for it and make some money from it.  That would still make me very nervous though.

On saying that I live in a smallish town but I would think working in a big city would make it a lot easier.  But that's just my thoughts.  Others in big cities will be more informed.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

Dont get me wrong I used to show my face but as being a bigger woman having an attractive face is a plus but unfortunately I have to consider the impact on my child if ever recognised, hence why I have removed any traces from the internet. And it has certainly not lost me any work but it is actually a confidence boost when clients comment on how my photos never do me justice. It is just things to consider.

It is something to consider, you're right. I suppose I could gently blur my face and still have many attractive photos (my body isn't bad - I just mean I don't have amazing cleavage or whatever.) And having a face pic in my PG would likely mean more PG sales. However, I think my main photo being a great face shot is the reason my phone rings pretty steady even when it's quiet for others and in spite of the fact that I'm over 40 years old.

But I can't rely on running around my home village in disguise working indefinitely. Sooner or later someone from there will recognise me.

Thank you laydies for your advice! I really appreciate! I will see tomorrow flat in central London and I hope don't have to move to croydon but if not then good to know it's not that bad to work close where I live. By the way I never show my face on the adverts.  ::)

I have worked for years only 10 minutes away from my home town and never had any problems.

On the odd occasion I have even been in the same restaurant or bar right next to a client and his wife and family and even in my local church!  I just pretend I haven't seen them, I have never shown my whole face but just lips in some pictures.
