Always look before letting them in.

Regards bedding I actually found dark colours the worst for showing marks always gone for creams and other pales, perhaps I'm just a white smeary person!

Make it clear that you are working by bookings and it is not a massage parlour to come whenever they fancy
Never leave them alone in the working room or bedroom
If they try to intimidate or threaten you always remain calm, avoid physical confrontations
Always take the money first, try to avoid bank transfers as they will have your real name
Try using music to track your time (the neighbours won't hear much either)
Don't leave any personal, valuable or sharp objects in the room (especially passport, bills etc)
Keep your personal things in a drawer in your bathroom and leave outside only what is for their use
Try to keep your "working stuff" in a box or a drawer
Wait for them behind the door and look out the window(if possible) in case they want to come with a "friend"
Do not hesitate to terminate the booking if you are feeling uncomfortable, scared or if he tries to overstay

Currently bank transfers don't require your [the recipients] account name.

Oh and remove your toothbrushes from the bathroom - don’t ask why

I'm super fussy who I see (because you dont have a second rent you also don't need to see as many anyway) and its far from an exact science, but I avoid young sounding men (the average burglar is a bloke in his mid twenties to mid thirties) and anyone with so much as an  ounce of attitude or 'awkwardness'... which might just be shyness,  but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm a little more relaxed in hotels on tour. Even the smallest instinct of 'there is something weird/not right'...go with it.  Think about trying to encourage with your price structure smaller numbers of longer bookings to keep your footfall down.

Hiding money in weird places that they'd never think to look is a good one, and keeping all doors but for your work room door locked. I never thought about the handbag thing but thats a good idea.

But also remember that even though there are risks to be cognizant of, and take the steps to avoid the risk of, the risk is still relatively low of anything serious happening and your main 'bugbear' will be twat no shows and arsehole timewasters and most of those are just at home alone wanking themselves into an early grave, I imagine.  I always try to remind myself of this when I'm feeling anxious etc

Thanks again for all of your great info and advice, I can shut most of my house off to my bedroom and leave my dog in the closed off area so he will not go in there I guess. I will sort a few things out this weekend then i'll be able to invite some clients, I do like to do my research about people and some of my first clients I have been speaking to for a very long time.

I must say I am very intrigued about the toothbrush in the bathroom thing, although I guess I should not ask lol. (I am asking though)

All I will say, is if he uses the toilet before, or after, especially after and his not the nicest of people, he could quite easily put that in areas , it hasn't seen before.  >:(

Or to clean their own teeth 😕 this happened to me once, the guy must have searched through my cupboards and found my toothbrush/paste, as it was laid out differently.

I can’t add much except to agree with  screening, screening screening and listening to your gut instinct, and setting things up so you are exposed to as few risks as possible.

😂. I caught a guy using my toothbrush -I wanted to stick it up his bloody ass ) I mean why just why would you want to use a complete strangers toothbrush

But I never leave any of my personal stuff in the bathroom at my flat or when on tour
There was one lady who posted about how a client pissed in her very expensive foundation
And friend of mine had a full bottle of Coco by Chanelle
I love Fenjal toiletries and I they are a bit expensive £5 for the body shower mouse but it’s last for ages and smell gorgeous
I have a client who must have liked it because he used up half of a large can in the shower . I really wanted to pour to down his throat as he seemed to like it so much

Ah yes your toothbrush hiding is an imperative, and I leave a mouth wash with a clean glass at the sink so they can wash their mouths like that instead. If they go to the toilet/shower before the appointment most of them seem to take me up on the implied offer, which is always good.

well it seems like I have a few things to sort out and get ready for my first incall.

Now for the exciting bit, I have my first incall booked in for the 13th of April. I have been speaking to him for ages and have loads of details about him plus I have actually met him in the past briefly in the past.

Thanks again for all of your information and advice  ;D

Good luck, although I have to say he sounds like a time waster.
