Sending a face photo on request.
« on: 19 December 2024, 12:35:53 am »
Do any of you who do not show your face on line, send a photo to guys who ask?

I have been doing outcalls lately and as always getting a deposit. Tonight this couple requested a visit and l agreed that l would go after l had seen my next client. I sent them the bank details along with the time l could get there after the client before them.

When l had finished with that client l hoped the deposit would be in but instead was a text asking if l could please send a face photo first then they would send the deposit. I think they were genuine and l was ready to send it.

But then somebody else called also wanting a home visit and paid the deposit really quickly without asking for that photo. I only had time to see one more so l messaged the couple and said to just call back another day. For me is was just easier to accept the guy who called and paid.

A face photo is not something l am asked for often but l just wonder if it’s the norm to send them.

I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Personally for me it's a no.  Once sent they can put it anywhere.  I also worry if it's someone that thinks they know me and just want to check it is me.

Thinking to say that there is a 10 pound charge and it will be deducted if they book me.

I never send, I also find it’s the time wasters that drag on a conversation and ‘book’ only to then put you on the spot asking for face pics just before they are due.

If you do jot already have face pictures up on your profile for privacy reasons then don't send privately.
The issue with sending imo is that once sent it is now out of your control, you have lost the rights to that image and they can do with it as they please.
It's possible to send a one time view on WhatsApp but all they need is a second phone to take a picture of the picture and you are in the same situation.
I would rather lose the business than send a fa email picture and have done on more that one occasion.

I've also explained that I don't send for the above reasons but that I'm not that scary and I'm happy to leave if they are not happy and most will book regardless.

No this isn't something I do, they have to book based on what they see online. I do have face photos in my private gallery, and the option to see my face camming either live, privately or on one platform for free. Someone could also request a facephoto just to timewaste, continue the conversation. If you have plenty of business without doing this, it doesn't make sense to send a photo. I also find many couples can be demanding, timewastery, hard work to set up often fantasists. Because I don't receive many couple enquiries they could leave more of an impression, so not sure if this is more so than individuals enquiries.

Hell no, I'll never send a face pic. In my experience it's only the time wasters that ever ask. I have side view and partial facepics anyway so it's enough to join the dots.
And once your photo is out there, you have no control over it's use and distribution!

This sounds like typical timewaster behaviour to me. Any requests for pictures other than what I choose to use on my advertising site are ignored.

You went with the genuine booking.

As an aside, I have found in the past that a lot of couple enquiries are more trouble than they’re worth.

If ure not showing ur face on ur profile... No point for them to ask for face photo, so don't send it at all. Ignore them.

I've never shown my face and never been asked but it would have been a firm no.

If you're showing your face in the profile then you don't care (which is perfectly fine), if you DO Care then any face photo can be inserted into one of the many facial recognition websites on the internet and get your real name, life history on the web (like that job you had in 2012 or the trekking trip were someone took a group picture and posted it in his blog etc...). There's quite a few incels out there blackmailing sex workers and only fans ladies through this method so I would be extremely cautious of sending face photos. If you really really want to send a face pic I would reccomend creating a headshot on AI that looks very similar to you but can't be traced through a facial recognition software.

People who care a great deal don't put their real life identity on the internet for randoms to freely pick over. I would be staggered if anybody could find a single picture of me which linked to my legal name or other personal details.

As for the punter, I'd just file that under asking for something I don't offer along with the rest of the boundary pushing numpties. It's definitely the time of year, I think.
