Show of hands for who's putting their rates up??

I'm tempted to put it up to time and a half for NYE and NYD but is that madness? Worried I'll not get any work doing that, but a lot of other services put their rates up on days like that.

I'm not. Thing is there will be less work even at normal rates since so many guys will not be able to punt due to family commitments. That's what I've found the last few years and I've worked nearly every festive season.

This is taking into account that many EE girls will be off home for Xmas.

The only reason I'll put rates up is if my costs increase - so if I need to do an outcall on NYE or NYD then I think charging a bit extra for travel would be okay.

I think being self employed, if I don't want to work NYD then I just won't, so charging extra on the basis that I'd have to pay myself double time (which is the usual rationale for charging extra on bank hols) I don't think is going to wash.

I think if I wanted to do that I'd probably put myself as not available on NYD but leave my phone on, and then say "Well, I'm not officially working today, but if you make it worth my while..."

Yes good point re outcalls. I tend to say I don't do them on days without public transport. Annoyingly that's the times I get asked for outcalls! I guess more people alone at home after seeing family etc having time on their hands. Generally my business is over 95% incall.

Yes me too, always seemed to get asked on Sunday nights etc! The location I'll be in at Xmas/NY has Uber so I'll consider doing outcalls if I can get there easily.

I'm just curious on which basis you think they are gonna all go home for Xmas? A couple I know of were gone home and already back.  Labour controlled by ee gangs won't care if girls wanted to go home for Xmas or not.

I was talking about the Indie EE girls sorry if that wasn't clear. The past couple of years during the festive period  so many EE girls profiles said 'on holiday'. Of course I didn't mean the pimped out girls.

Thank you for the replies :) I'm going to charge a wee bit extra on outcalls to cover taxis since they'll be more expensive but you guys make good points, will keep my rates normal otherwise!

Having said I wasn't going to raise my rates on NYD, I had an enquiry today and he asked what my price was, I said my normal rate and he said "Oh really, same as normal?" So now I'm thinking I missed a trick! I might say to any future enquiries that it's 1hr minimum. Just because most of my neighbours will be in and likely to notice a high number of guys coming and going from my flat.

Was he maybe hoping for a discount?

I don't think so, he said it like he was surprised I wasn't charging more.

You can get away with a one day price hike on new years eve (hotel rates will be considerably higher) and the amount of work on NYE is chaotic esp if in london so it can help keep the workload managable.. Saying that im only planning to work for a few hours afternoon and early eve this nye so will be keeping rates the same to try and ensure bookings in the time period! Put your rates where you want just remember tgat youre still in competition with others who may not have raised their rates.. X

Sorry in advance for mentioning it ladies!

Last year I was away so I've never escorted over Christmas before, I mean Xmas Eve, Day or Boxing Day. I'm thinking of going away again but it's just so expensive I was wondering if I should stay at home and work, go away another time. I live alone so Christmas can be just like any other day.

Do any of you have experience working actually over Christmas? Is there demand at all? And would you charge extra... I think I would if there was any business?

TIA!

xx CG

Seek (or Search) and ye will find. Or just wait for me to merge it while I'm waiting for dinner :).
