yes.  However, there are profiles I had seen mentioning their availability into February 2017.

Yes. Lots do but it's a risk I'm not prepared to take. Only you can decide.

My Question is "have you announced your availability over holidays?"  I have been wondering if I ought to mention something on my profile or not.   ???

I can post here now since I've just sorted my Christmas page out this morning ;D. I have a page on my blog with my work dates/hours on for December and over New Year that I stick up every year and put a link to it on the front page of my site. It's really a hangover from when I was working away more and might have five different locations to list, but it's still helpful on terms of when I'm off, working late or finishing eary and so on.

Adultwork I don't bother doing anything bar putting up my London ad for the week after. My site is linked on there so if they want to know they can click.

I don't work weekends so Christmas falling on a Sunday is a bonus as it wont affect my working week.

This is exactly what I was getting at before - I don't work weekends either, but it's the opposite of a bonus for me. It's Christmas, and I want it to affect my working week :).

I take a few days off over Christmas. I don't really celebrate it as such  but I do like to have a few days off to celebrate with my other half. I like to relax, eat, drink, and watch tv. Maybe see friends for drinks. But I don't take too long off. I enjoy working and I enjoy keeping busy. It suits me.

Compared to:

Trying to cook Christmas Dinner for 14 people who all think they are Gordon bloody Ramsey
Negotiating an armed truce for the day between various factions of the family who hate each other
Having my stick thin SIL insist on white turkey meat and salad for dinner while 'helpfully' informing me of how many calories there are on my plate
Having to be the one to tell the kids its ok to not eat their sprouts but not ok to throw them at the patio windows just to watch them slide down because my Other Half is drunk and thinks its hilarious (last year!)
Co-ordinating all the Sky Recordings because god forbid anyone miss a single episode of anything their life revolves around which I wouldnt hear the end of for a whole year
Pretending to look delighted when opening yet another ***** Yardley Gift set containing Lily of the Valley talc from my MIL
Stopping the dogs from eating the Christmas ornaments
Stopping the kids from killing each other
Trying to remove discarded sellotape from the cat without having my face scratched off
and
Having to bite my lip when being accused of lacking in Christmas Spirit because I refuse to participate in the 14th game of Wii Sports in favour of slumping in front of the TV with a Gin and Tonic in a pint glass

I think working sounds like a great idea. Where do I sign up?
R xx
PS - Sorry, not really complaining. After from the ****** Talc from his Mother, I wouldnt change a thing :D

lucky me my partner do all  the Christmas cooking

Well a regular just turned up this morning with Champagne because its Xmas!!!  Oh dear, I don't normally drink with clients but (was meant to be an evening appt but he changed it so wasn't expecting the Champers)

Now I'm a bit merry and I think I have a 2 hour at 2pm. A strong coffee and food methinks.

I'm seriously going to  work as much as possible over Christmas as well. Due to family stuff I've barely worked the last 2 months due to hardly being at home. I will be away at New Year as well. I have a tiny family and the stuff I'm dealing with is extended family who I ain't that close to but there is no one else.
I'm seriously thinking the 21st -28-29th as much as possible. I think I've managed to keep my semi regs happy by being home every 10 days or so but I really think if I got a decent offer for Christmas day I would consider it. Is that sad? But Christmas doesn't mean that much to me. I have good mates that I could go to but I'm not that fussed. And I need to earn and I have some single older men who seem to be on their own. I don't think I will tout for business but if I'm asked. I will consider.

Nothing sad about it at all. It's a personal thing and no one has the right to judge you for it. I am going to be working as much as possible over the Xmas period.

I'm away from home to spend Xmas with my son, but if the apartment I've booked is workable then I'll probably take bookings around my plans. If it's not workable then I'll be camming instead. Mainly I want to spend time with my son though. He tends to keep student hours so I can get some morning bookings in 😂
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes

I'm more worried about food running out as supermarkets have holiday schedules.  I dislike inconvenience that these holidays will bring.  Anyone dressed as mrs Santa in red?  I would hate it myself but...should I make the effort?   :)

Im working all over xmas I started my tours for the xmas period yesterday im only taking xmas day off and back on Boxing Day
Im working right up till the end of second week of jan when it generally dies a death in the third week of jan and then I will be off for about a month
I planned my tours back in Sept so have managed to get some really really good rates for some  places that  are normally mega expensive like ?289 for 5 nights when ive paid in the past ?350 for three nights
But roll on mid jan I will be serving on red bull and lots of coffee I expect
