New years eve I could have had enough work for 10 girls, I would work this new years eve up til 9pm, the days leading up are busy too

If I could just do the 30th & 31st (maybe the 1st too) would probably be fine, but then taxi's on New Years Day and probably the 2nd too will be ridiculously priced and it's like ?50-?70 on a normal day.

Has anyone successfully worked from the 29th/30th December

I'll be away working from the 27th to the 30th, and I was mad busy when I did the same last year including the Bank Holiday. That doesn't mean I will be this year or that anybody else will, though? I've been stupidly busy the last couple of days to the point that I'm taking tomorrow off because I'm knackered but other people have said it's shite where they are.

Definitely. If you prebook them you should get a decent rate too :).

I have always worked after Boxing Day and got a couple in each day.  I will work from my home those days as I have no intention sitting around waiting in my flat for someone that may or may not turn up.  I never get time-wasters either the guys always turn up.  I did also do one on Boxing Day morning whilst waiting for guests to turn up.  I always find after the 1 January is the busiest time as well but by the middle of January until the 1 February it goes pretty quiet again.  That is probably because they have their credit card bills coming in that they have used profusely for Christmas shopping.  Things are never really normal again until March.  I have been doing this job 26 years so I speak from experience.  :FF

I usually work between Christmas and New Year.  Some years it's been quiet, and others busy.  I already have a reg booked in for 28th (providing he doesn't cancel).  Even if I just get the one booking it's still worth it for me.

I have deliberated over this for the past few months and have decided to do the following:

I am on tour on the week up to Christmas until the 24th and I anticipate it being busy. I am taking Christmas day and Boxing day off as I don't get home until Xmas Eve.

I was going to tour Twixtmas but I will honestly end up dead from exhaustion as I am all toured out. I am going to be available from home instead before I hit the road on the 3rd January.

I don't take enough time off and I need the rest. There is also the massive variable about whether it will be busy or not, but at least hotel prices are dirt cheap for the twixtmas period for those who are working.

It will be interesting to see how it pans out this year.

I've been working out my Christmas and New Year hours this afternoon and it's been harder than usual because of it falling over a weekend - if Christmas Day/New Years Day were midweek then I'd normally just take the whole week off but with them being Sundays I'll be working until Friday 23rd, off to London on Tuesday 27th and then travelling home on Saturday 31st. That's pretty much what I did last year, but with most people being back at work on Tuesday 4th it doesn't feel like much of a break with only three days off for each.

I may just skive the rest of that week. Or I can hang out at home and just run to my flat if regulars call, which is more likely :).

My Question is "have you announced your availability over holidays?"  I have been wondering if I ought to mention something on my profile or not.   ???

Well as I am mainly a touring escort, my tours are all posted in the tours section.

When I'm at home I am Local Escort Search and Available Today. That's really all we can do. I do pay to Feature as well, especially if it's a big city.

I avoid any reference to my availablity in what I write on my profile. (See the Adultwork Help and Support Thread).

Last Xmas I toured but I can honestly say it was not worth it for me. I do not even make my money back.  But I guess it can depend on location.

Bear in mind so many family guys will not be able to punt, being involved in family Xmas duties etc, but single lonely guys will probably be more likely to book.

As I work from home and as live alone I will put my phone on and work as usual if I get a call that sounds promising I will book them. I don't work weekends so Christmas falling on a Sunday is a bonus as it wont affect my working week.

To be honest, I am more concerned about January as I want to tour in the first half.

Who knows? It's just a minefield.   ::)

yes.  However, there are profiles I had seen mentioning their availability into February 2017.
