I always work during Christmas and New Years Eve as I have no family here or back home.
Nothing else to do then cook nicer meals and have fun with clients :)
Not for me anyway, but Im fine/used with it :)
Usually I have mostly non british clients over Christmas holidays.

I've always worked in between Xmas and New Years and it's always been crazy  much busier generally than the pre Xmas period

I remember last year I had about 9 bookings between Xmas and New Year week and I ended up having to cancel nearly all of them as I had such a terrible cold come I had to climb into bed on New Year ....!

Apart from the 24th, 25th & the 1st I will be working as normal, although for some of the areas I cover I might have to reduce when I am available to as the buses will probably be running a reduced service.

I could actually do with one or two jobs before christmas just for last minute bits and pieces but had my Implant changed yesterday so now my arm is killing me.

I'll be available except for the bank holidays. Family stuff to do and hangovers to deal with on those days :D I do hope it will be busy and hopefully the cold I've had for 11 days will do one!

I haven't made up my mind yet about working over x-mas.. I haven't got any family over here as they live in a
different country, and I don't have any exciting plans either lol..
Think I'll just keep my phone on and see what happens  ;)

I've decided to work from Boxing Day to the 30th, got nothing else on so may as well, need to keep earning to cover overheads anyway.

Due to a family crisis last year I was unable to work December so have no knowledge of how it can be. I have been asked by a couple of regs already what my availability will be over the festive period. I am a bit surprised to be honest to have enquiries so early. They have asked about Christmas week in particular. Does it get busy this week or December in general? Beings regs I will book them this far in advance, as I will see them a few times before then. What's December like? I am quite excited now, think I will get some mince pies in.
Be in your happy place

I was moderately busy December 20-30th last year. Last booking before Christmas Day was 23rd, and first after was 27th. Saw two clients on the 30th, but none on new year's eve. Then first client this year was on January 2nd.

I was super busy just before Chistmas on the 23-24th and again just before New Years Eve on the 29-30th. Nobody on the 25th, 31st, and 1st. I thought non-christians will be interested on 25 but no.

I'm hoping things will be good over xmas as I am planning on working (never worked an xmas before). I love the holidays so I should be pretty chipper, even more so if I've made lots of monies  ;D
If we're not supposed to have midnight snacks, why is there a light in the fridge?

I'd like to try London in the run up to Christmas but it's a big mistake to make if it's dead.

Has anyone got any experience of the few days before Christmas in London?
