Has anyone here had a mini  tummy tuck (no muscle issues which should make it easier recovery I think?)  ? How long were you off? My possible future surgeon said 6 weeks but I'm not sure that's long enough given the amount of sex we have in this job. Also scarring and wound healing and work? I managed after my BA by keeping a bra on in bookings but I'm not sure how well always wearimg knickers would go down with my now clients.
I'm at the seeing consultant stage so nothing booked but time off is my biggest fear.

My friend had a tummy tuck (with muscle repair) she hasn't worked for 8 weeks, but is just getting back now.  She still has a bit of swelling and pain, but is starting to look great!

Thank you! The recovery sounds so hard, 8 weeks is so long. Is she going back to fs or lighter work? I'm was wondering if only offering short bookings like 3pmins with no fs would be advisable? I'm a total wimp with pain and I hypochondriac about hurting myself. I was so paranoid after my boobs I know I'll be the same with this.

Hi lovelys has anyone had a breast uplift?

I dont want implants just an uplift as due to losing weight and lactation mine have gone a bit south eben though im only a 30b.  >:(

Seems an uplift is more expensive than implants? how long were you off work?  thanks x

Uplift is more expensive as it’s more work
You will get a lot more scaring with a up lift as they often have to reposition the nipple so generallly a scar around the nipple and then a vertical scar from nipple to under the breast

My friend had a uplift and implants and it went wrong ( this was 3 years ago) implant was actually put in wrong way 🤮 it was done when she was living abroad
She had to pay almost 8k to get it fixed last year in the UK
She was off 6 -8 weeks

Hi lovelys has anyone had a breast uplift?

I dont want implants just an uplift...

I recommend preparing for at least 2 months off work.  The scars, though, will take years to lighten.  (My own uplift scars, which are now 6 years old, will never fully fade, but I prefer the scars to sagging breasts).

I recommend  you also to have implants along with the uplift (as I did...and now regret not having gone a lot bigger).  The combined procedure doesn't cost much more than the uplift alone, the implants will very probably enhance your body-confidence (especially since they tend to compensate for the scarring resulting from the uplift), and they make it more worthwhile to undergo the general anaesthetic and the subsequent recovery process (which includes a few days of pain).

For your uplift,  check whether your nipples are even.  If they aren't, this can be corrected in the procedure.  If you have implants, check whether they will be placed in front of the pectoral muscle or behind it.  (If you have very small breasts, the implants should go behind the pectoral muscle in order to avoid implant-puckering which will show through the breast).   In either an implant or an uplift procedure, over-sized nipples can be made smaller too.

If you have implants, ask by what route they will be put in (through the nipples, through the breast creases, through the armpit or through the belly-button).  Also ask what sort of implants will be used.  Textured silicone implants tend to be the most common choice by surgeons, as I understand it.  Also ask how to avoid implant-rippling by the armpits as well as capsular contracture.

For any procedure, ask to see pictures of the surgeon's work and try to ensure that she / he shows you people who had the same surgical requirements as yours (so someone  with breasts just like yours, for instance).  Ask him / her how often the procedure goes wrong, what makes it go wrong and what she / he does about it.  Ask her / him how often she / he performs the procedure in the first place too.

Lastly, see at least 3 surgeons for consultations before you make any decisions.

Hey ladies. So next week I am travelling abroad for a long awaited breast enlargement surgery :)
I just wondered if there were any of you who could tell me how long you waited before you went back to work?
Granted..  everyone's healing time is different. Just getting excited now and curious to hear how long it took to heal and you was ok to work.

:) thank you.

I’m getting my boobs done as well and I read somewhere it’s recommended to take at least 6-8 weeks off work.

I took about 5 weeks off but I then did limited service and only saw gentle regs for a few weeks. I also didnt remove my top/Basque/bra for a couple of months as I didn't want to hurt myself and also ugly scars while healing.

I think the reccommended time doesn't really account for people who's tits are their work tools. :)
Your body doesn't really start proper hardcore healing till 2 years after the op, that's the red zone when you're most likely to get encapsulation, hematomas and other issues.

I took about 2 months off and kept the industrial, rigid sports bras on 24/7. I didn't want complications. I had a small keloid scar for an unrelated op and wasn't going to take risks. Go back too early and some client grabs or rests on you could screw up the long term healing. I tried to keep them protected in a bra while seeing clients for weeks, so I was less exposed to damage. You just have to be smart and assertive with clients as you have two busy healing wounds for 2 years.

Afterwards I wear the industrial sports bra 24/7 to this day, except for work and sports when I use a proper super firm sports compresser top so nothing jiggles.....too much. Only when I need it to. ;D

Work related answer - it depends what surgery you have and who is the surgeon. Usual time off work can be from 2 to 6 weeks and includes the ability to driving a car.
I had some work done years ago but luckily from the best Cosmetic surgeon in London, if not the country, and probably the world but am not knowledgeable about other countries and their surgeons outside of the UK.
Probably best not to look outside the UK is my best advice.
Can PM me if you need the name of the best surgeon - he is the best, for sure but has a long waiting list, but is so worth the wait - believe me!!!
Breast surgery is usually a 4 -6 week healing time and scars usually gone within 4 - 6 months.
