I am planning to go over there after new year with friend of mine, she want to go to work by some agency I prefer work independently, and here are my worries, most important for me how law looking for escorts over there and what worst can happen ? And is it safe to stay in hotels? Maybe anyone have any recommended and checked ones ?

Hi and welcome to SAAFE  :)

I'm in Dubai now. My third time on tour here. I charge over double my UK rate here and always have a great time. There are risks though so be very careful if you do come.

I'd recommend editing your advertising to remove any direct mention of sex for money. Just say you do 'full body massage' and list your rates. Massages here are cheap so if you're listing escort rates it will be obvious to clients what's on offer without incriminating yourself.

There are a lot of rumours kicking around that the police in Dubai do sting operations to arrest escorts by posing as clients. A Filipino guy was arrested here recently for escorting- http://  gulfnews.com/news/gulf/uae/co...iled-1.1188843  I was told that if there is a sting they'll pay you then wait for you to get naked before arresting you but won't want to get naked or do anything sexual with you so I've been stalling ie saying just get undressed and wait for me on the bed while I get you a drink / put music on / draw the curtains or whatever excuse I can think of to not get naked before them.

I'm very careful here to the point of being paranoid but so far no problems.

Just follow your instincts. Also look for big hotels with a large, busy reception areas and preferably no cctv pointing at the door to your room so clients can come and go without being noticed by hotel staff (actually all the hotels I've stayed at this time had cctv everywhere but I think since I'm a man they aren't suspicious enough to keep an eye on me and even if they did, they'd only see a few guys per day come and go).

A good idea to move hotels at least once a week too. Rumour has it that if hotel staff think you're an escort, they sometimes report you to the police. It's not the most gay friendly place in the world and nor is it famed for gender equality but if you're careful and very discreet, you should be fine.

I've been told that if you're a white westerner, the worst that can happen is you'll get put in immigration detention and then deported

Good luck :-)

Given that the US police can get naked, have sex and still get a conviction, it wouldn't amaze me if the police somewhere with considerably fewer rights for people accused of a crime - doubly so for non-Muslims, doubly so for those involved in sexual immorality, and doubly again for homosexuals (as they'd see you) - could do so too. Or get away with rape. Or get away with imprisoning you for a while anyway.

High risk, high reward. Only you know if that's worth it for you.

I know I couldn't do it, Im nervous enough going to Glasgow with all the bother they're having.

I definately don't think I could do somewhere where its actually illegal and I have huge respect for those that do.

Hey Aussie ME, I'm just curious as to what kind of clients you get in Dubai. Are they mainly expat guys? Do you have locals seeing you?

Hey Aussie ME, I'm just curious as to what kind of clients you get in Dubai. Are they mainly expat guys? Do you have locals seeing you?

Mainly expats and visiting businessmen. Some Arab UAE nationals. Arabs make up less than 20% of the population here. The rest is Indian, Pakistani, Filipino etc. I very rarely see any of these nationalities. Dubai doesn't pay its migrant workforce that well.

All valid points made by Alia. I feel like the things I'm doing to minimise the risks are enough such that the rewards outweigh the risks for me but certainly respect the opinion of anyone who feels otherwise. I'll only be here for 10 more days and if I come back here to work in future it will only be to see regulars.

I haven't found the locals aggressive but I guess if they were looking for someone to bully, they'd look for someone who doesn't look like me. They do like to negotiate. I accept that as part of the job here that nearly everytime I discuss my rates with a local I'll have to haggle like I'm selling fruit in a third world street market. On the other hand I've met a lot of very nice Arab men here. They can be very sweet. In their culture hospitality is very important and it shows. The guys I've met often look and sound quite rough but if you look past it they're quite caring.

Anyway all the best whatever you decide to do. Feel free to pm me if you want to ask anything.

I know someone who this happened to exactly also.

Dubia I would say is a one shot deal or at least dont ever book into the same hotel twice. I have heard you can make a lot of money but you could also make the front page of the international papers if things go wrong. Women with children I would say is it really worth the risk, no. Young free and single maybe but you do have to be careful.

OP - PM me for more info

I will say this - you cannot make in Dubai what you could make 2 years ago.  2 years ago you couldn't make what you could make 4 years ago.  Many girls have given up on Dubai because rates have decreased dramatically.  There are stunning russian, lebanese and Moroccan girls in the bars who will do the whole night for 400-500 GBP or less.

Qatar is boring as hell, strict and conservative.  I had to chuck a guy from my hotel who was fake police, it's common.  He'd done this with others to get free sex.  You need to be very careful working in Qatar and cannot see very many people at all.

Bahrain is more open than Qatar.

Beirut and Istanbul are a lot more fun places to visit

In Dubai you get - arabs of all kinds (levantine and GCC arabs) north africans, east africans, greeks, western businessmen, indians, pakistanis, sometimes rich chinese, malaysian or Filipino.  (There are actually a lot of pakistani and indian guys here with $$, I have some great pakistani clients)  You have to have the patience of a saint and a strong ear for bullshit as there are many many many timewasters, no shows, hagglers, dodgy guys, pimps etc.

I am super super strict with guys here.  I will not haggle at all.  I won't see guys under 30 and I turn down 8/10 people who request a meeting

Where you are from will affect what rate you can get, a lot of the time

From yesterday's Guardian:

"United Arab Emirates police accused of torturing two Britons after drugs arrest - Allegations include claims of kicking, rape threats, and forcing prisoners to sign 'confessions' written in Arabic"

Ellie's post is so true.

Pure arab clients (emirati and qatari) are very veyy good, but they are not so easy to find in this way.

There's lot of no shows, time wasters and lookers, or they say they want to pay "after", or they try to pay you with poor currency )I mean, if your rate is 2000 dirham from Dubai, they will try to give you 2000 dirham from Yemen or something (10 euro).

You should be very very strict with this people and if you see something strange, say them bye inmediatly, dont waste your time talking, ask the money fast and if there's any problem ask them to go.

The problem is, if you go for work by yourself you can chose and be smart with the calls, but if you go with an agency, they will send you EVERYBODY and you will see...

Also, one girl from Spain was arrested 3 months ago, they arrested her after a week, she has been 2 months in jail, and of course the agency said it was not their problem.

A women's jail in Dubai is a horrible place. And of course the agency doesn't want nothing to do  as what they're doing is super illegal and they are afraid of getting in trouble themselves. So the girl is on her own. I hope the Spain consulate is backing  her otherwise she's f-----d (keep in mind that the first thing your consulate does when you get arrested is call your family and tell them where you are and why you've been arrested).
Mornings were made for sleeping, wild sex and bacon.
