Hi
I am WG for over 3 months now and i really like the job and thinking about making more money if i can. I house share and have not told them about my new job so i only offer outcalls atm but was thinking of renting and then i can do incall as well, i have 2 regs how i see about 1/2 a month and i update profiles every Monday, on AW PN and C69 (i know i can do more)  So what i really what to know is this, is it normally quiet around this time of year? is it the Olympic? is it the recessions? or is it because i only do outcall?  ???
Also any trips you find helpful?
I was thinking of lowering my price for a few weeks, what do you think??
On AW the RB what should you bid, your normal rate or keep it to what they have said??
I know i am asking a lot but would like to know what other WG are thinking/doing atm.

I think it has to do mainly with the recession and school holidays are coming up most families will possibly be having a short break away if they can afford it. I think also you possibly need to advertise in more places if you feel you are quiet. I am no where as busy as when I started out,  There is also a huge increase in WGs so that might also be the reason why too. If you feel your fees might be the problem only lower them once you have check what other girls fees are in and around your area you do outcalls to.

It's not always wise to lower your fees until you have checked out why you are quiet because once you lower them you might have problems when you try to put them back up. I have lowered mine but only because I noticed girls in my area were offering cheaper bookings than I was so I thought I'd lower mine to see if it made a difference to my bookings. July is usually quiet for a number of reasons too normally until around September and only some of the really popular girls tend to maintain work with out struggling.

I think its hard for everyone so don't worry.

@ Miss April.  I hope I am misreading what you have written ..................... You update your profile on AW every Monday?

If I have read this correctly then I would advise you to update your profile  EVERY DAY, possibly 2/3/4/5 times in the main 12 hours of the working day.  If you do it only once a week your profile will get lost in amongst all the others and overlooked.  Best to keep it on the first page at all times where  you will be noticed more.

I have looked into getting my own website and so on, I know I could do more to advertise and I am getting there. I have about 3 booking per week which I think is ok because I only do outcalls I get a lot of adv booking too. I am in line with the other of WG in my area.
Is it still worth thinking about renting a room? Do you get more work if you do incalls?

I think someone said somewhere else that outcalls are only about 10% of the work, which means Incalls are 90%  but that doesnt mean it would pay you to get an incall apt as the overheads are huge and then there is the setting up costs too.

Only you can decide if it would be worthwhile for you.

Lady lust, I have a 50% of incalls and 50 % of outcalls. My outcalls are 80% to hotels within my city. I do private homes sometimes (mainly clients I've met before or people living in my "area". I never  travel for outcalls. fu---k that).

Incalls are usually more popular, plus there are a lot of new girls coming into this at the moment partly a result of easier access, partly because of the recession, then on top of that you have the recession hitting spending power. Combination of a lot of factors.

I don't think you will find that many people have their bookings 50/50.  I think you may be the exception to the rule.
 
In the six years I have been working I would be lucky if I needed my second hand to count the number of outcalls I have done but that is through choice and laziness on my part.  Why would I want to go to a guys place - hotel or home - when I can convince him to come to my incall apartment.  I find outcalls too time consuming and I like to be in control ALL THE TIME and I dont think that works when you are on THEIR territory.  You dont know either if they have a small device filming everything that is going on.  :(

I'm also too lazy to try and find the post that gave the figures I quoted.

 i dont do outcalls  i find them to stressfull and not worth  the money or time for me ( personally ) 

i do incalls  and i tour and that works very well for me 90 percent of the time

Summer is always quiet because of the holidays, people have spent their money or are not here

Olympics makes it worse as lots of business have a blanket travel ban

Recession has had a big impact on the industry over the past 4 years

Like Ana I'm about 50/50 incalls outcalls.  Most of my outcalls are guys from overseas, and incalls vice versa (although I do have some British outcalls)  Look into renting a room p/h, most are ?30-40 in London

Although I don't do outcalls very often ............. for that now read never, I have had enquiries for outcalls but I just wont consider and I also won't do foreigners, so that knocks that one on the head.  If my bookings were 50/50 I would never be off my back.  ROFL. ::)

In terms of getting more business for me the more you advertise stay on top of advertising the more business you will get.  There is alot more out there than just AW and I can not recommend enough getting your own website, blog and promoting them hard and consistently.  Anyone on here will tell you advertising is key and spending on advertising is also key to how busy you would like to be. Match that with some consistency and a good attitude and anything is possible.  It is a full time job just doing the marketing!

Will it pick up once the kids go back to school or because of the recession/ Olympics it will stay the same?? Most of outcall are at hotels in the area were i live so not to much traveling or lost of money. I feel i could have more clients if i did incalll but just trying to work out if it be worth it.

How busy or not you'll be is trial and error I'm afraid. No one can predict the future  :)

If you want to get a (very) rough idea of if it will be worth offering incalls, book a local hotel room and offer incalls from there.
