LOL, ah c'mon Amy I was hoping for your words of wisdom too now that you're here. Can you tell me why ?
Unfortunately it IS a fact of life. I've had my first no-show in months tonight and I honestly thought I could spot 'em a mile off. I think this one could have genuinely had something unforeseen happen, but that doesn't make up for the lost earnings, or the missed night out I was going to have after it (by the time I got all the gear off and blew out all candles, put wine away - ok that one's a lie
- packed away my kit and so on, I didn't feel like it).
You do seem to get them a lot though Joey - I think when you get a website sorted and lay down some guidelines, people will see that you mean business and treat you as such. You may find you get fewer enquiries but a far bigger proportion turn into actual meetings - I probably get less calls in a day than many other ladies but the vast majority do turn into bookings, and therefore money earned
. I am a bossy twat on my site but you don't have to go that far - just sound businesslike and professional and not as if you're desperate for their cash (even if you are!)
If they cannot make concrete arrangements when they ring explain that it's fine but that until you have a definite confirmation you will consider their time to remain available in the event that anyone else calls. It will never get rid of the TWs completely but it should help - you just need to sound more in control and they may think twice about pissing you about.
