For someone with commitment issues (hi it's me), it's great to have a job where you can choose your own hours, take days off/ holiday whenever you want. There are a lot of downsides and setbacks of course, that revolve around being self-employed and the stigma for this industry such as living a double life/ hiding your job and having to lie to your family and friends, complicated to have a love life, difficulties getting a loan and a mortgage, not having the benefits of being employed (sick pay, career progression, bonuses, health insurance, fixed income, etc.). It's like working in customer service which is great if you like working with people but that means you need to be top of your game at all times, you cannot hide behind a desk if you don't feel like doing it. But I find it exciting, I like having a secret no one knows about (except for 2 very close friends and my therapist), it's fun to dress up, do photo shoots, wear lingerie and cute dresses as your uniform, finding new ways of entertaining your clients, etc.
