Giving up a civvy job to escort full time
« on: 05 February 2023, 09:53:53 pm »
I've always had a civvy job (self employed with that too) as well as escorting. The civvy job has always been my main source of income. Its taken a real bashing since covid hit. I doubt it will ever get back to where it was before. I'm thinking of winding it up and concentrating on escorting. I'm so undecided though. Has anyone done this? Have you never looked back? Have you regretted it? I'm worried escorting won't make me enough money. I'd be really interested to hear about anyone else's experiences with this - though I do appreciate we are all likely to have different perspectives.

never look back tbh. it is own decision. you can always do both or go back.

it is normal that you do not know you aren t sure. you do not know how is goes full time escort.
you should just try, no one can tell you how you ll feel, how much you ll make etc....

You're halfway there already PussyWillow as you're already self employed and therefore used to managing your own marketing, budget, tax records etc.
You're also an experienced escort so you have a realistic understanding of what the work is all about. IMHO you're much better placed to make the jump to full time escorting than someone with no previous relatable experience.

After decades in a different career employed by others, I was at the top of my game but totally burnt out, working 60+ hours a week and trying to fit my personal life in around work. I'd been having a lot of casual recreational sex by way of stress relief when I could, so it felt right to turn my hobby into a new career and do work that I was actually motivated by. It's been a steep learning curve but I've never regretted it and wish I'd switched to it sooner. I have true autonomy and am able to use a lot of my relatable skills in (broadly speaking and no pun intended) customer services as well as business management. I also clear, after tax and expenses, the same income as when employed in my previous role.

I'd imagine the hardest part for you will be that you'd no longer have your civvy job as cover for how you earn your income, and so you'd need to decide whether to pretend you're still doing your civvy job, or whether to invent a plausible new alternative and stick to it!

Good luck with whatever you decide is right for you x
