I've seen select an escort on here, is it any good? I've looked at it a few times to advertise but it's hideous to look at, the colours damage my eyes so it must be the same for punters. It's awful to look at and the flashing ads on the left just make me want to close the page down rather than sign up.

Does anyone recommend it? Is it worth the horrible visuals?!  ??? ;D

I've never used this website but I'll join you in a rant about horrible looks.
So many of these directories are just NOT PRETTY  :FF Why?  :FF They look outdated and not pretty and often are difficult to navigate.
I don't understand - there is so much money in this industry. Why don't they make a bit of an effort?
I LIKE PRETTY!!!  >:(  :D

Thanks for your message, Amy. Yes - looking at it in retrospective, not following the forum etiquette was a mishap  :-\  so please disregard it.

I took your advice on board and have now posted on the Hello thread and I’m looking forward to be a valuable member for the long run  :)

Happy Sunday to everyone x

I find it a really good site especially for tours and the admin is really nice and friendly to deal with and I know a few of the ladies websites were made by the admin and he also runs a few other directories.

Thank you Caledonia, yes I'm sure I looked up another different one and it forwarded me to this one. I need to get my sunglasses out then, I find it so difficult to use and hard to navigate but if it's good then I'll suck it up!

Really though, is there are need for it to be so visually challenging? If the admin ever look on here it really is hard to view.

Like Caledonia mentioned the tour section is good especially if your on twitter as they get retweeted several times a day
And the admin has always been prompt and on the ball which is plus

I have just spent hours going through all the recommendations for adverting here and thought it would be helpful to sum up the costs etc on a more recent post for anyone interested.

Viva Street - free option, paid option - most of the ads look fake and it would be easy for your advice to get lost in it all.

Punternet - 15 / 30 per month - doesn't look as though it gets used very often due to lack of ads, not for Scotland anyway.

My local escorts - 9.95 / 34.95 / 44.95 per month - looks like a busy site and could get some work from it. Will definitely sample this one.

Punterlink - 60 per month minimum (depends on location) - doesn't have many ads on it and seems to be used more by agencies to advertise their girls. May be worth a shot but I probably won't use it at that price.

Select an escort - couldn't even navigate the site to find pricing and it just hurt my eyes to look at it.

UK Belles - free - have to request via email to have an ad, but weirdly the email link doesn't work. Unsure if this site is still "active".

Escort pages - no longer active

Punting zone - no longer active

Ukadultzone - free and paid for options - looks alright for a free ad!

Girl-directory - free - again, worth it for a free ad.

sexy independent escorts - 20 per month - doesn't seem like a good advertising platform for my area but could be ok for others.

worldescortguide - banner exchange - looks quite decent for attracting non UK clients, worth a try for a banner exchange.

bellesescorts - free - may aswell stick an adult on if it's free!

openadultdirectory - banner exchange -

escort-scotland - couldn't find prices but if I remember correctly from previous visits, it's around 60 - 80 per month - busy site but all ads look professional photos, no selfie types so would need to prepare for that competition if placing an ad.

topescortbabes - free - didn't have many ads for my area but again, it's free so may aswell try it.

Slixa - mainly a US site but have 4 UK locations including London and Glasgow. The Glasgow section isn't operating yet but hopefully soon as the site looked quite well maintained and a popular site for US clients when visiting UK.

OK, that's about all I managed! There are some decent options in there if you want to avoid using Adult work, but the sad realisation for me is that it's a necessary evil. I will definitely be padding out my marketing with a few of these sites in the next month and will feedback on the response I get.

I still rely heavily on Adultwork which is great when you are busy because it's so cheap but when its quiet it's frustrating. I always loved paper advertising on friday ad or the yellow papers but don't think they do paper versions now? I've been around for 20 years and puntingzone and punterlink were the gold mine but it was posting in the forums and being a presence rather than the ad you post.

I find less and less guys are coming from AW.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

Up until now, my only platform was AW but have noticed a swift decline in bookings. I still manage to meet my targets but not as easily as a few years ago.

I agree with both of you; when it's busy it's great but the last few weeks have been very quiet on that site. It may be something to do with them wanting verification from clients now, or it could just be that other platforms are gaining more momentum. Definitely time to start putting eggs in more than one basket for me :-S

Friday Ad still has a paper version. I think Loot is still around too. You do tend to get old guys without smartphones from it though!

Surprised to see nobody say thank you for this great post! Much appreciated Veggiegal, I completely agree regarding select an escort and there are some here I've not seen so will give them a go.

I'm not sure VS have any free ads, not in the escort & massage section anyway although in my area it's only £4.99 a week with no upgrades. I get a fair amount from it actually, similar levels of pests to AW but had quite a lot of bookings from there, for the price it's very much worth it to me. I have oddly enough had guys from VS who say they only use VS because they think AW is dodgy!  :o Now personally I think the opposite but hey, at least I get some extra bookings!

I paid a large amount for advertisement  for 6months on cityoflove.com (£384)
I knew that site is good but I didn't want to pay that much. And now I am looking at my Google analytics, they say that 32% of my clicks comes from this site! Other linked sites only gives me max 2%

I've never heard of them, that's a lot of money!

Does the number of clicks translate into paid bookings though?
