Are you doing this full time? I get enough exposure through Adultwork, and the free to advertise sites. But I only work evenings and weekends and don't want too many enquiries.

I have heard that paying for the Featured spot on AW is very good if you're in London.

No, well, not for now anyway, I figured I'll build up business and then assess what I should do in regards to my day job.

I am new on AW and literally had one enquiry all week. Had a few from other sites as back page and adult zone and placed ads in directories (paid and free alike).

I think I have fairly good pictures and a good price to value ratio. So not sure what I am doing wrong.

So frustrating! haha

Does anybody know what happened to UKBelles? I got a lot of web hits from it, but it seems to have disappeared now (server not found). I noticed I haven't been asked for money for a while.

Hey!

I am just starting as an Independent having just finished working for a no good agency. I had a call from a guy from the Sun that has offered me to be at the beginning of the ads for ?200 for the year, he said usually they charge ?2000  ??? Well... my mum always told me if something is too good to be true it usually is! Lol. Has anyone ever used the Sun and if so is it any good? x

I went to look at placing classified adverts in The Sun and didn't see anything for adult services.
He may have wanted you to paypal him the money? In which case it's a scam.

Did he give you a number to ring him back on? If so, google it. Then google the number for the advertising desk at the Sun and see if it matches.

There are a lot of scam advertisers out there.

I think the Sunday Sport do adverts, or at least they used to. I'm sure Teressa May will most probably put a lock down on that though. ;)

Hi all!

I'm returning to the business after nearly a year out abroad, and will be settling in Glasgow. I've never worked anywhere outside of London, and have only used AW there which seemed to work okay for me.

What would you recommend for the Glasgow area - is albaladies still worth it? I'm planning to head down to London as well for one day, shall I bother with londonukescorts?

Thanks in advance x

Brilliant post Paris, thanks.

I don't think my head can get around advertising on so many sites.
I've also done a google search for London escorts and seem to be pulling up mainly Escort agencies.

Can anyone recommend the top 3 sites to use?
I'm still unsure if I should advertise in the paper.

Any upto date advice recommended.

Thanks

Has anyone tried Cherrygirls recently?

Adultwork have disabled my profile of 5 years due to this stupid issue with a group!!! I am seething and my blood is boiling. I've lost almost 180? worth of credits trying to set up a new profile and transfer over credits. I am trialing Select an Escort and even a massage ad on gumtree for basic services HR and O... We will see

Phone is dead and I am at a loss as what to do. I hate that I have to rely on AW so much.

Where are you located? Different places have different results on various directories. For example, SelectAnEscort seems to work in some places but does absolutely nothing where I am.

If you say where you are, you may get some feedback from others who are near you on where works.

You should do a google search for things like "Independent Escort in *Yourtown*" and see what pops up. The first result will probably be Vivastreet. You may see some others like Adultzone, SelectanEscort, etc. If it's in the top ten results, give it a look. (AW will probably not even be on the first page. But they are an exception, somehow.)

For your average escort, no other directory will generate as many calls as AW. You *can* work without AW but it will require more work on your part. Those of us who have gotten complacent with the ease of AW are in for a nasty shock when forced to work without it.

I started a thread on the subject some time back and I'll go find it and link it for you.

OK - here's the thread. I didn't start it, just posted on it a lot. It's a good discussion of working without AW:
