I'm considering Captain 69 if I'll be working in London more often. Can anyone tell me what it costs (beyond the membership) and how well it works?

?12.50 a month if you want to use the touring & announcements board. I think you can list a basic profile for free though

You can totally go free and it's worth it, IMO. I only signed up a week ago and I'm getting a lot of website hits from it.

I can't figure out how it works! I did put up a profile and I think I need to upload a photo to it.

Give it a day or so. I got an email saying my profile went live. If you don't get anything after a day or two, try emailing the webmaster. :)

I'm not sure I've ever had a booking from Captain69, and also couldn't figure out any way of editing my (free) ad. I exchanged a few emails with admin about it, and he said he would make the changes - so I'd make sure you get it right first time!

I wonder if it's a regional thing ( being quiet) or down to lack of advertising

Maybe some of us could say where we are /not exact city but roughly and what advertising we do

For example I'm when I'm Bristol I do adultwork,-available today , local
Search viva st , punternet & punterlink and backpage
These are generally enough to get me 2-4 bookings a day over 5 days so some days less some days more but averages out the same as long as I put in the hours as usual

When I'm touring I do the same and I only feature for Birmingham and If I was doing central London
I would feature but don't bother featuring anywhere else
If I do London /Birmingham I also repost daily on back page as well as my normal add and u do featuring as well
This works pretty well and although I'm quite lazy when I tour when I do work properly  I can do 6 + bookings most of the time

I've now started doing more of the local search so Birmingham I would prob add Coventry as well

Some places are just crap though and certain advertising works better

I wouldn't work places like Birmingham, Leicester, Leeds, Coventry, London   without viva st or backpage as I get a fair amount of good bookings from these in these cities sometimes up to 30 -40 percent of my work

I based in central London and I use backpage, viva street, Ptmu, punternet and many others free sites.  I had to stop using punterlink and viva street because over two months doesn't bring me any bookings. Viva street was good for me when I've been East London but for central London just wasted my money.  :FF I was wondering if I should try cherry girls site or any different advertising  ??? If anyone can recommend me a good site for Central London please pm me ::)

I always pay just ?1 for the aw local escort search to appear in London - I'm outcall only so don't worry about the exact area. I noticed on Sunday that I hadn't had any emails or private gallery views for a few days then realised I'd forgotten to book the local escort featuring. It kicked in today and I've had a few emails so I'd say it definitely does make a difference and pays for itself.

I do most that Paris does. Minus punterlink & minus punternet but plus escort director UK as that is one of the top ones for Derby. & at the minute I don't have my own site. On loads of free sites can't name them all.

Last year when I wasn't advertising bar adutlwork available today and that was it, it was shit for work, barley 1 a day after I was done being a newbie, always posting in slow today. Ads work for sure I get around 1-5 bookings a day generally steady. Always on the hunt for new ads.

I'm a bit cheeky and pay for 6 different local areas on adultwork. O:) But you'll always get a few willing to travel to you if your ok explaing your not in say the town next to you to a few people who get confused. Ads take maintence and effort and money, but boy does it beat sitting around doing nothing.

It feels surreal posting this, and I am not sure I didn't imagine it, but I was speaking to one of the only escorts I know here and she said that she had advertised in "The Daily Sport"? Does "The Sport" advertise escorts? I seem to remember back in the day that "The Sunday Sport" sometimes had a few outlandish stories, but I wasn't aware they advertised escorts.  Has anyone on here ever used them? Or able to recommend them?  Thank you once again  :)

I agree that using other directories does help. When you compare the cost of AW to other directories, they may not look like great value, but they do add up. I mostly just go with Vivastreet and Backpage, but they do help. I'm also on SelectAnEscort and PTMU because those are both free. I've added myself to Captain69 but haven't put any money into it.

One idea is to get another separate phone for when you try new directories. So many clients have no idea where they found your number that it does no good to ask them. So, put the other number on and then you'll be able to better track where business is coming from. If you are satisfied with a directory and feel it's proven itself, then you can just put your main number on it. I'm about to do that for BackPage. I still like a bit of warning when I'm about to get a call from Vivastreet, though, as those calls can be a bit unnerving and I like to brace myself. LOL

I'm going to have to email Ian and ask for advice on how to rejig my personal website to reflect that I tour a lot. It's currently very orientated to my home city.

Just add a tour page on your website and list your up and coming tours or an availability calendar stating what days/ dates and locations you are.

I thought The Sport was only in Scotland anymore? I may be thinking of something else.

Hi Blue, welcome.. I was thinking of young
Mr David Sullivans 'Sport' newspapers.
Lol Fabs Maybe there are other look-alike
Sports papers in the country...dunno! lol  :)
(Who would be buying these things?) :-\

Backpage...depends where you are located
maybe, other girls have more info.

My girlfriend now spends 45 pounds  a day on Backpage-London.
Clients were very good...but not so great recently.

No the Sport newspaper is UK wide though like lots of outlets for advertising works better in some places than others.
