I read your website and think it's lovely. But don't daydream too much about loads of cash! I at least had quite a surprise realizing that I consistently only end up with 1-2 bookings a week and I've also had some weeks with none. I've been escorting since mid-March. I get many more phone calls, about 50-60% of them are just information requesting calls from prospecting clients and of the remaining who want actually to meet I find myself declining about 40-50% for one reason or another.

You too may find that even with a good website you won't get super-busy at ?180 an hour (I charge ?160-?170 depending on where the clients lives within the area I cover). I'm not insinuating that you should reduce your rates, just saying that it's true whether we like it or not that the ones charging some, say, up to ?80 an hour are the escorts who get the highest share of the punters out there.

I know what you mean by "bload and sweat". It's taken me too many hours of effort spread over several weeks to build and perfect my website. But I did it with joy and with a feeling of fulfillment that I was creating something meaningful to myself: for the first time ever building and running a project of my own and making all the decisions alone as I thought best, what a great feeling of independence!

I think it looks great  - I've seen sites that probably cost a few bob that were visually nowhere near as good. My personal nitpick (apart from that Hotel Chocolat doesn't have an 'e'on the end) is, erm, 'Bequests'?

It's obviously all down to personal taste, and I'm well aware that some people would rather do anything than just put Prices, Rates, Fees etc, but I'll be honest and say I don't think that imminent death is something punters would want to associate with seeing you. At best it's pretentious, at worst it's pretty tasteless, and unless you had your heart set on it I would suggest a change because I genuinely think it will put people off. There's plenty of old chestnuts to choose from in euphemism-land (donations, gifts, tributes etc) without the 'last will and testament' association  .

Yeah, but how many punters are goths? One of mine is, mind  .

I do agree that it's vital to have a site that reflects you if you want to stand out, and God knows I've long since stopped worrying about what anybody else thinks but realistically it's a lot easier for me because I have a client base who are used to me, and I do think it's a bit different if you're new. Not that everybody should have awful generic looking sites, but I really do think that's a mistake.
