Where do you park?
« on: 20 February 2025, 08:36:44 pm »
OK ladies need some advice on this one. I tour alot. I mostly drive but if I'm touring more than a 2hrs drive away I prefer catching a train. The problem im having is that I live in a very small remote town. So I have to get a train to the main station to then get another 1 or 2 more connecting trains depending on the destination. It would be actually easier if I could drive to the main station and catch a train from there but I'm not sure if there is anywhere safe at the stations to leave my car? Has anyone does this? Or has any suggestions

If there isn’t secure parking at the train station then I’d try Just Park. It’s an app/website similar to Airbnb where you can rent someone’s driveway or a space in a private car park etc.
Prices differ but I find it’s usually good value for airport parking and residential areas where the parking is very restricted :)

Another app is called your parking space, I use this when going on nights out as you can book overnight in someone's drive/gated car park.

I've just used the 'your parking space' site to find parking in Chester 2 mins walk from the station and the apartment, covered by cctv and it cost me £24 for 4 days which is a bargain
