When the mesage you on Whatsapp or Viber

In my experience whenever they've messaged this way, they're usually a time waster being they have to actually save your number first to get it to show up on those apps. So I just ignore them all now, but wondering if anyone has had genuine clients get in touch this way? I use just the one phone for both work and personal, I don't intend to change that.

In answer to your question I find that most guys who contact in that way are timewasters. I just wotzapp them back asking them to call the normal way. If they are genuine they will. If they continue to whatsapp I block them. I have not disabled it because the odd regular has got in touch that way.

She was asking personal opinions about guys who use wotzapp. Not about using the same number for personal and business.

When I first started on AW a friend of mine told me that every guy that had ever contacted her via WhatsApp was a timewaster and that she had never actually had one booking through it and boy was she right! I've now actually uninstalled it on my work phone as the dick.pics etc, were starting to do my head in!  I actually insist on talking to new clients anyway, men generally expect pictures & videos thru WhatsApp, they can dream!!

Why does anyone ever need to use any app when a plain old SMS text message will do? I have a dumb phone, and only use texting for sending my website URL to initial enquiries, then my address details once bookings are confirmed, i.e. not for any chitchat - I tell them to call.

And I do think it's madness not to have a separate work phone...

Yes I can't be doing with anything beyond good old SMS text my mobile for work is archaic too.

I don't use Whatsapp or Instagram etc

Exactly, I trued WhatsApp and found it awful in many ways.

Email, phone call, text for regulars, AW email is more than enough for me.

I would never use one phone for both ,surely that's just asking for trouble, also the guy's that whatsapp are usually time waster's in my opinion  :o

People who contact me via whatsapp are always timewasters in my experience. Also I find that a concerning proportion of these men also have selfies with their wives or SOs as their profile pic which suggests to me they are being careless about privacy, leaving themselves open to recognition because they know they're time wasters and fantasists and don't care or they really are just that sloppy and incapable of being discrete. Either way I don't want to know them so it's a no from me.  ;D
