When should I expect bookings??
« on: 08 September 2014, 03:37:46 pm »
So, I have booked a hotel for 17th (I night but could be extended) and advertised on AW last night.

I haven't had any bookings yet BUT when I should expect them to start??

I wouldn't bother making any firm arrangements until the day before on on the day itself unless you've seen them before. The trouble is, you'll keep turning people away for a week on the strength of a phone call from somebody who'll more than likely cancel the evening before or not confirm on the morning.

Have you put a tour ad up? That way people who aren't specifically looking at your profile will see it :).

You never know! I don't think it's possible to predict anything in this job x
If something is not perceived it doesn't exist.

What's a 'tour ad?'

Well it's really for if you're going to be working in another area, but if you're only going to be available in the hotel over two days it wouldn't hurt. I've seen plenty of people advertising in the touring section for their base area, so it's obviously possible to do it.

Tour ads only show if you're paying to display your number, though. I still wouldn't be making concrete arrangements this far ahead.

Have to say that I agree. I wait to see how much interest I get first to check it will be worthwhile before booking a hotel.

Is the booking something you can get out of Iif necessary or have you already paid/given card details?

It's directly but they have told me I can cancel up to lunchtime the day before without penalty.

My area is touristy all year round and the hotels get booked up very quickly so I knew I had to book. I doubt I'd leave it until the day before to cancel though. If I've no interest two days before I'll throw in the towel!!

Don't.

I mean, I wouldn't. I'd say you'll appreciate taking the risk!

When I did my first incalls, I was freaked out I was going to lose the money and I only had one call from a guy who sounded suspicious!

But I walked away with profit :D Still haven't left a hotel with less money than I started, even if it's a modest amount, I'm happy!

There's A LOT of same day bookings in the Incall business. But you do have to put in the effort to advertise...add some more pictures or videos or do some blogging...

I feel really sorry for you, new girls in uk when comes to strating in the bussiness. When it's come to Holland and Belgium all you simply need is a good photos and sim card, you place an add on redlights.be in Belgium, kinky.nl in Holland and the phone starts ringing. The newer you are the better. I can' imagine waiting for clients when I am new. Maybe aw really isn't the best site to advertise.
He came in the morning and woke me up with killer instinct. Wish I could stop this now.

I did a similar thing to the OP, started with outcalls then switched to incalls from a hotel. That was after months on AW - suspect you're no longer considered new by then and won't show up on newbie searches, so it might be tougher to get that kind of business. But I really don't know!

I'm sure if you started out on AW as a pure newbie with an incall place you'd get all the fresh meat p(hunters).

I second that. I think backpage is good, and cheap. Especially for same-day bookings :D

I would leave the hotel booking to the very latest time for cancelling and not cancel that early.  You should be able to gauge by calls if you may get interest on the day.  On many occasions it is a guess but there is as much chance of you being right as their is for being wrong.

Its not an easy business to start off with and you really need to get yourself on to as many free websites as possible.  Watch you dont choose the crappy ones though that you may get a lot of timewasters from.

The other sites you advertise on depends on where you stay for what works in one area may not work in another.  Whoring is a lot of trial and error sadly and we just got to go with the flow.  Google some of the established girls in your area and see where else they are advertised and it may help.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

Yeah it isn't like that here unfortunately.  When I started I needed money for a deposit to move house, and I expected bookings within the first few days.  The reality was it took a few weeks for things to get going.

I've actually read on punter forums that some guys wait until a girl's profile has been up 3-6 months before they will go and see here so they know she is established, if on AW has feedback and is obviously doing OK to keep advertising.  I guess they have to weed out the idiots and timewasters just the same as we do.
