For male escorts-

I get most of my work from gaydar in the UK. Then gaytimes magazine, gayromeo and rentboy in that order for how many genuine clients they bring me. I was on sleepyboy and in QX magazine but I've stopped paying for those as I wasn't getting much work from them.

I'm touring overseas at the moment and getting most of my work from manjam, gayromeo and craigslist. I'll probably drop rentboy when I get back to UK and see how manjam goes there. craigslist can be really good but they tend to delete your ads without telling you and not getting flagged for deletion ('ghosted') is kind of an artform. I use anonymox plugin for firefox to change my IP address and shitmail email forwarding to get around them flagging my email addresses and insert non alphanumeric c$ha3*rac^ter&s through any word that might get me deleted.

Recently started using badoo/blendr which is a dating website/application. They'll delete you if you say you're an escort on your profile but you can hint at it and say you're looking for casual sex with men over 40 then just reply to every msg with your copy and pasted escorting sales pitch and rates etc I've been getting some work from this but also a huge number of timewasters in the order of hundreds of messages a day. I might try doing the same with grindr when I get back to UK.

I have adultwork and gayswap profiles but I don't think I ever got a single genuine client from either of them. Made some ? from camming but lost patience with that after a while.

Thanks, Just signed up for adam4adam.  That's true re the phone apps. Way too many messages from people just looking for pics or freebies but if you ignore all the obvious timewasters there are clients on there. Almost all the girls on the front page of badoo/blendr are escorts now so girls must be getting business from it too for them to bother paying to bump their ads to the front page.

I get all my work from AW... Maybe I should branch out but it's treating me well so far! Did used to use Viva street, but I just can't be arsed with all the TWs, and also with the spiel I'd have to give them about fees/services. Escort magazine works for smaller areas, I found, and I do sign up for it when touring. Another good one is massagetheuk. But people tend to not be prepared to pay above ?100 p/h, but then a lot of them are only looking for massage with a happy ending, so in that way ?100 isn't too bad! Not many TWs either and I did get a few bookings out of it, by doing 45minute bookings for less.

Should probably branch out at some point...

Oh that's interesting, I never would have thought of those. I guess mobile is becoming increasingly popular. I know lots of the directories have mobile sites, but if I had any developer skills I'd create an escort directory in the form of a (discreet & password-protected) phone app  ;D

That's interesting, now I know when I was bored using badoo, so many guys come along ask for what job do you do, and want to get me out and .... ... but also I dont think this kind of app is trustable? do you think ?

I also get 99 percent of my business for adultwork. But i take advantage of almost all their features , I feature every day, post my number. I have tons of videos and a private gallery and Use "Available today. Ive found as an "ebony" provider the the other sites just dont work for me in my price range.  Also because of my private gallery and videos AW is 100% free.

I have a profile on AW and I advertise on a few BBW sites but most of my Clients come direct to my own website. I work it quite hard by doing a new blog every few days and tweeting about it but I find building my own traffic to be cheaper and more effective than advertising via other sites.

Most of mine comes from my own personal website  - its on pages 1 & 2 for google in my area and words like bristol escort escort bristol etc 
then its punternet, punterlink  and uk belles and then adultwork
 
  Im also listed on all the websites that are on pages 1 2 3 of google in my area of bristol bath exeter cardiff and the southwest  or i try to be 90 percent of the time
My blog gets me a lot of work as well and clients  and it helps I  to place my website

 I also use backpage  and feature myself on there its around 10 for 3 months and i get a fair amount of work from it

I find that by posting 2 -3 time a week on some of the forums like punternet punter link and [a punting forum] gets me a fair amount of interest as well

If I'm touring for more than 2 weeks  though i will often up my advertising to specific areas like little black book for manchester  wysg for york ect 

I try to tour in specific areas so that if i was touring liverpool and york and chester ect then all the adds for most of the directories in those areas will cover me and i will feature myself on adultwork if I'm touring
if I'm not then i just do the local search and refresh my profile every hour or so  when i remember

The funny  thing is I am finding that websites that work for some guys don't work for me and the ones that don't work for them, work for me. A lot has changed since the last time I did this work. There are hundreds of escorts and much tougher. I can see why some WG's  are thinking of doing  part time work / full time. Being male and mixed race is tougher, but finding niches is helping.

Do any males on here use Adultwork and had any success with it?

I posted further up the page and said I never get genuine clients from adultwork/gayswap. I get messages on both if I pay for available now, featured etc but the guys who contact me on there all seem to be timewasters eg more interested in collecting pics to jerk off over than actually booking an appointment. Since I last posted I seem to be getting less work from gaydar and more from rentboy/manworks. I think mainly because I'm still waiting for broadband to be installed so my internet connection is too unreliable to stay in gaydar chat 24/7 and because I won the diamond auction on rentboy.

True that about finding niches. I've set up some new ads offering to spank, whip clients with my belt etc. I don't think I'll  ever make an actual dom as verbal domination is beyond me but my new found sadistic streak is earning me a lot of extra ?.

Good luck Woofy. Remember, girls can get away with spending little or nothing on advertising. We can't. Expect to spend at least ?200 per month if you want to see 1-2 clients per day. I have a few different profiles targeted at different segments of the market (never show my face, use different contact details, different blogs, different websites and continually update pics - it's hard work but really pays off). If one profile isn't working I put it to bed and start a new one. I have one permanent profile too for when I'm in my home town (I don't stay there too long) and a few other permanent profiles target at different cities.

For escorting I stick with the Adultwork and forums like Punternet / ukPunting (for the reviews) and do local advertising.

I started offering full body sensual massage as one new profile last year and it has really worked out well for me (much better than I thought it would to the point where I went and got trained up properly). I get almost all of my business from www.fbsm.co.uk for that segment thanks to some very good reviews in their independents section (I was originally with an agency but went independent when I realised that it's not as much of a niche market as I had initially thought and I could do all the advertising myself very easily).  I mostly use:

Michael, if that's what you think I'd go and have a look at the 'Slow at the Minute' thread and see where spending little or nothing on advertising gets you. It was maybe true in the past, but it certainly isn't now.

It's hard juggling escorting with work.... But once again Michael, you're wealth of info. It seem's the only 3 males who use this forum often, me being one of them. I suspect women are finding it hard too cause more and more females escorts from everywhere are popping up increasing competition. Anways it will hopefully stabilise soon.

I wonder if the trouble with getting genuine clients on Adultwork is because, it is more a straight forum, and these are curious guys who can't go through with the deed.
