Are you new to the job or your area? When I was new to the area percentage of TW was a lot higher but you filter them out over time and now it’s very rare to get a no show, I get a few last minute cancels but not many. What advertising are you using? Maybe there is something in your adverts that’s attracting TW? It’s just that seems like a very very high number of TW shit you seem to be dealing with.

I lowered my prices and now more of my callers are showing up like how it used to be. I am annoyed though because these idiots are still calling me even though they know they can't afford it leading me to think for ages that it wasn't the price. I am also annoyed that taking advice from a regular to raise prices seems to have been what ruined my business for a whole year. I am also also annoyed that the other escorts in my city seem to be doing fine at the higher price point. I'll just chalk it down to them offering services I don't.

Id say mine is fairly low also - about 10 to 15%. I advertise on several different websites though but no call = no booking. Its easier to spot a TW when you're speaking with them over the phone as apposed to ping pong emailing or texting, and if someone is a TW the amount of time spent is considerably lower over a phone call then texting/emailing lol

Why do I get so many Timewasters?

I literally did Incalls from a hotel yesterday and I’d say I received 50 calls as I’m new to escorting. Not one of those calls produce a genuine client.

Feel like I should just throw in the towel already. Is everyone’s start this tough? Why is it so hard for me to get proper genuine clients. Sigh.

I had a lot of failures and lost expenses as a freshy, it feels awful.
Now, I'm happy to reject 90% of callers on the phone because I know only 10% are vaguely genuine.

50 garbage calls is a pain. I'd block those 50 so they don't bother you again.
Block daily, feels good. :)
I had 2 calls and 1 job yesterday which is 'my happy norm'.
I expect only a dozenish calls even if I get 3-5 jobs a day for example.
Low call rate, less mental effort.

If you're in Ireland, like Amy says....it's totally normal. I echo her advice.

The only place I've ever worked where that would be normal is Ireland (and in Dublin that would be a pretty enviable hit rate ;D). I get one, maybe two a no shows a year and I don't remember the last one - I did have one last August I remember being angry about because it was at 7pm and I was bloody hungry.

Are you getting punters to confirm before the booking, or just taking request then giving them directions and not expecting to hear from them again before they arrive? In my experience the timewasters don't confirm mostly because they've forgotten what they said and moved onto another ad as soon as they put the phone down.

If you're not sure on the phone, another thing I've done is ask them to ring back in a couple of minutes (you can say you're in a busy place, or that somebody else is due to call back and you won't know your availability until they do, or whatever). The ones who actually want to see you will do so, the tyrekickers won't.

First off I’m relatively new to escorting so I’m really trying to decipher if this is something to do with me or because of the current situation with Covid.

I live in Ireland and there aren’t many Irish girls working at all. So I’m rare and do attract quite a lot of attention for this specifically. Only problem is I seem to attract an awful lot of time wasters and no shows and I’m just wondering could if be a me specific issue.

I get 20-30 calls a day sometimes and I’m lucky if two even show up. I just can’t understand how I’m relatively new. Not to brag but I am attractive and friendly at all times with clients. So why do I have so many timewasters. I just can’t get my head around it.

Is it this slow for everyone at the start?

Being new is always a magnet for TWs and so is working in Ireland (one reason I’ve never toured there) I hate to say it but it’s possible that your being trans may add to the TWs (morons)

I’m not sure how you screen but one thing I always do, no matter how short notice the appt is, I ask for confirmation. If they don’t confirm then at least I have notice they are not going to show. Cuts down on TWs for me a lot.

Good luck I hope it goes better for you.

Thank you so much for your advice. I wasn’t aware so many girls on here had also had bad experiences with timewasters in Ireland. I think too being new I don’t know the tricks of the read quite yet but I’m learning as I go. X

If you can, I'd double, triple, quad, fifth book in Ireland, north and south. First to arrive gets the prize. If two turn up I get the second to have a coffee till I finish the first one.

As long as no one has your full address, just a landmark it's workable.

Do you respond to messages. I feel as though messages are mostly timewasters so perhaps I should say something about only responding to phone calls in my ad so I can filter out timewasters a bit better.

I ignore emails. Texts I generally ignore, but will respond to two or three respectful ones a week who turn into clients. It's all made clear in big bold letters on my website I only respond to calls. But most don't think it applies to them or get word blindness.

For some reason Steves are very often no shows as are Marks.  Strange that!

Since the pandemic, I'd say 50% of my callers have been serious inquiries. That's pretty good since I require deposits and before the pandemic, when mentioned that, they would literally stop texting me all of a sudden.
