What if you get 'sore'?
« on: 21 January 2015, 09:53:17 pm »
Hi All,

I am very new to this, I am a mature lady and am really enjoying the experience so far.

I am starting very slow, with no more than 3 men this week, I have seen two so far, and after last night, I am feeling a bit sore!  I make sure I keep myself very clean and dry down there, but I wonder whether this goes away after time or if not what you do to combat it?

I am seeing someone for two hours tomorrow so hopefully it will have worn off by then.

Thanks a lot, I am loving reading the stories and posts and feeling like I am part of a community.x

Which lube are you using?

It's water based one I got from LoveHoney.

Cassiea, I'm not sure how old you are, but if you're post-menopausal and don't lubricate well naturally, Replens might help.

Perhaps try different positions - is there one in particular that you find causes most soreness?

Just before you go to bed, apply a bit of aqueous cream to the vaginal area (or use clotrimazole if you may have a bit of thrush), and you should find you're fine in the morning.

Once a week or so, a Balance Activ pessary can help reduce pH and thus prevent BV. Don't use too many strong, scented soaps, bath foams or shower gels in the vaginal area - just water and/or aqueous cream.

If I feel sore I've found using a balance activ at night helps a lot

Thanks for your advice, I think it is more a friction issue and maybe a bit of muscle ache at the top of my legs!  So I will use more lube tomorrow and I always use a ph natural product to wash with.

I am hoping that the soreness ease over time.

I will try the aqueous cream though, and although I am post-menopause I manage to produce lots of natural lubrication  ;)

Thanks again, you're a great help. x

Don't know how "mature" you are, could it be dryness cos of age?

Could the "soreness" be something like allergy to condoms?

Is "soreness" just generally a lot of banging during the bookings, if so, slow down and take things easier ... Unless of course you are offering PSE service.

I notice you say that you keep "very clean." Don't use soap on your delicates! It will irritate the skin. Just wash with water.

If none of these suggestions work, and if you continue to get sore - or increasingly sore - then you may want to consider using non-latex condoms. Some people are sensitive to latex.

I'd recommend trying a silicone based lube (my favourite is Pjur Woman) too; it doesn't dry or go sticky and a little goes a very long way although it can be hard to get off and it stains fabric badly, so don't let punters have the bottle as they'll make a shocking mess.

It might well be that it's just natural soreness if it's more action than you're used to - it sounds like it if your legs are aching too. If that's the reason, you'll get used to it.

As above, don't underestimate how sore latex condoms can make you either if you're not used to having them rubbed briskly against your bits for lengthy periods. It's worth trying a few different kinds :).

Silicone lube irritates me. This really surprised me and I didn't want to believe it so I tried it a few times. Always the same! I used the rest of the bottle up on wanks. It's great for wanking.

I find if I haven't has sex for a while it can be sore the next time. I try changing positions, more lube, after about 10-15mins I suggest we take a break. I don't think I've ever had a client who's wanted to go for longer than that though - I advertise as more girlfriendy, kissing, cuddling than porn-stary. I don't really enjoy penetration that much anyway though so always need to use quite a lot of lube unless I'm with a partner I like.

It is. Really good!

But don't get it on clothes or linen. Very difficult to wash out, and impossible on duvets.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

I put a bit of cream on last night and is much better today.  I agree that it is probably a combination of friction and my body getting used to the action again!

I am offering GFE so will take things slow and easy today and hopefully this will wear off given a bit of time.

Thanks again. x

I used to get a lot of urine-infections, but now I always make sure I use LOTS of lube...!
I know everybody's already said that, but I think that's part of the problem, if you're too dry down there, it'll
end up irritating things..
Touch wood, as long as I make sure I'm lubricated enough, I haven't had any problems with sore-ness or urine-infections..
Good luck!  :)
I don't have to be perfect, but I'm perfect at being me!

I use lube, but when especially busy I can still end up getting sore. The only thing I have found to work is taking a day or 2 off rather than trying to work through it and making it worse.
