What do you wash with?
« on: 02 December 2012, 10:26:01 am »
Hi ladies,

After every client I see.
I'm curious as to what I should use to keep a balanced ph.
I used femfresh and that gave me thrush. I am now using a normal bath and shower soap (Imperial Leather).
Is there anything like femfresh that I can use that is safe and isn't as harsh?

Thanks x

Hey girlie,

I had some serious irritation and thrush issues down there a few months ago and completely feel for you! Its horrible.

I got told by my doctor that femfresh and all of the vaginal cleansers are all just marketing hype and should be avoided, as well as normal soap and shower gel. Water should do the trick, but I know for me I always feel a bit paranoid about just washing with water. My doctor gave me some Aqueous cream, and that has been wonderful, its not scented but I still feel that it cleans, as it lathers up a little if you dilute it. Best of all its really cheap and you can get it in boots  :) I think my doctor gave me a specific one for washing though, so you might need to find that one.

Good luck

xx

Give Canesten cream wash a try, it's really good.
Yes, I'd risk it for a biscuit, as I said, you know me.

hmm, water alone certainly doesn't do the trick for me. i use normal body soap, even if it's acid based or what not.

I like cetaphil face wash from Boots, its recommended by dermatologists for your face and is good for sensitive skin as its non perfumed and very simple so I feel like its perfectly fine for my hoo-ha too

I use Femfresh with Frangipani, and white litty. It's mildest of them all.I get hrush when someone sticks finger from anus to vagina. Some man don't have a clue how easy is to transfer something nasty :FF

I agree with Casey, it's Aqueous cream all the way.  ;D

They recommend you use ONLY  this at the clinic and it is all you need (btw they know my profession) so there is the definitive answer although not very glamorous.  ::)
I would like to find some in some sexy packaging though.
