Title: what do you girls do about bookings if you're unwell/a little under the weather?
Post by: xSweetCheeksx on 28 March 2013, 10:50:19 am
Just curious cause this is day 2 with a new agency I've just started with. Last night got home from a booking at about 10.30pm and I could feel a cod coming on. I didn't want to go straight to bed cause obviously you want to wind down so went to bed quite late and had a shit night sleep. Woke through the night with the shivvers, was absolutely freezing despite having 2 duvets. On call today 10am-2pm cause im at my normal job at 3 and so I got up at 8pm which killed me. I was beyond tired. I've just had to improvise with how I look. Like I've just done basic make up, a quickl bit of back combing with
the hair but having to go for the natural luck cause I've just got no energy to look nice  :-\ I'm sat praying I don't get a booking but although I don't feel too well there's no way I'd tell the agency I can't do today. Not on day 2 with them cause they already layed it on thick about how strict they are with people dropping out on their availability ect. So yeah, what do you do.if you just have a cold or something like that? Is it alright to not always look super glam for bookings?

I've cancelled all bookings for yesterday, today and tomorrow because I've got a stinking cold which started on Tuesday (my own fault for overdoing it, but that's by the by). Whilst I can appreciate that you're worried about what the agency might say, has it not even occurred to you that you could give this cold to a client? How would you feel if a punter turned up coughing and sneezing and put you at risk - what if you had an important event like a job interview, or a vulnerable person at home who could have serious problems if they caught it?

What you look like is really the least important factor in the situation - we're all aware that agencies don't give a shit about either us or punters when there's money to be made, but surely even they have limits when it comes to sending out people who clearly aren't fit to work?

Yep, tell them you've got a cold and you can't work until after the long weekend. If they moan about it, you know what sort of agency you've chosen.

Like wise, if I'm feeling unwell I won't work.  I don't like to let people down, but if I'm not at my best they'll be all the more diappointed as it will show in my performance, plus it's unfair to pass anything on to them.  I'm sure clients won't appreciate you sniffling and dribbling all over them.  Just tell the agency you're ill, I'm sure you'd do the same in your day job if you couldn't function properly.

There's a cold going around a friend and I both have had it. I basically inform the client at confirmation time, if I feel ok to go ahead (being a bit of a fitness fanatic it feels a bit stupid to complete my workout to then say I'm too sick to do anything else) I'll give them the choice. Most do/will still attend. If however it's bad enough I'm cancelling my workouts(which has to be really bad) then I will cancel my bookings and turn away any new ones.

One thing which gobsmacks me at times has been guys trying to persuade me to see them EVEN after I've said  "No" I'm so ill I'm not seeing anyone, having explained I'll be dribbling/snotty/aching/throwing up. Really makes me wonder if folk like to chuck their money away on someone who'd not be able to provide a decent service, or that they're hoping they'll get there and get their way with someone who's in a vulnerable state. Either way it's not a very pleasant thought!

I remember one time when I had tonsilitis (and I mean tonsilitis not a 'sore throat'), having told a guy I why I wasn't available, then going on to ask why couldn't I "just" give him a blow job :o :FF

I'm never sure about exercise - I cancelled my yoga and zumba last night because I just wasn't up to it, but I thought I might go for a swim later because I hate sitting about doing nothing, then a thing I read online said you shouldn't do too much physical stuff if you weren't well. Bugger it >:(.

I hate messing people about, but like Strawberry I tend to leave it until the day and then sort it out when people ring to confirm - I can't even talk today because my throat is sore so I've been missing the calls and then texting back (and nobody has wanted to come anyway :)) but in the past I've done similar when I've not been feeling too bad, and some have wanted to go ahead, some not. It's certainly a disadvantage of only taking advance bookings, but it can't be helped.

Either way, it's not for an agency to decide. As Ian said, their reaction will be informative if nothing else.

Strawberry, my god I could never do.the job with tonsilitis. I had it about 2months ago for the first time in my life and bang on the day before I first ever started escorting. I had to cancel all week with that agency. Seems my luck really , start with an agency and straight away I get ill or my period is due. Sods law. But yeah, tonsilitis is dreadful, I couldn't get out of bed all week.

Anyways, I took paracetemol and felt a lot better. Ended up getting a booking for 1pm but then got cancelled on about 50mins before. Probs was for the best cause I feel like crap now.

One thing to consider is that not all clients want to catch a virus. And clients who use escorts expect sexiness all the way. Some thing different than their normal life to spice things up. If I get a cold the last thing what will be a turn off is sneezing all the way through. Also can't breath through nose that is need on them. To be honest if not feeling up to it like you sound don't do it. The last thing you want is complaints making matters worse. Some clients are very good at studying body language. Never to under estimate them.

A few years ago, a female escort friend was complaining about her blocked nose and how hard it made it to give a blow job. As her clients were usually tied up or blindfolded, I thought about offering to do that part of the booking but decided that it was just possible that they'd notice anyway :) Plus she did OW, which I didn't. So I just suggested a pseudoephedrine-based decongestant.

In this case, you want to be in bed or wrapped up in front of the DVD player, not in the same room as clients.

There is nothing worse than feeling ill and being broke and needing to work, I get  physical pains, so top myself up with pain killers and get on with it.
If i feel so ill or come on i would just cancel the day available and let clients know if any had booked. I wouldnt want them to catch anything from me ie ..  a cold at worst.

This is it, I really do need the money but I've text the agency and told them I'm not well ect and she was fine about it. i just so far from sexy right now so no way I can work. My tan is a patchy mess and I don't have the energy to sort it out, my hair needs washing and as the saying goes "starve a fever feed a cold" well I did eat quite a lot yesterday cause I felt so hungry at one point so I feel like a bloated beach whale as well. Can't wait to feel better again  ::)

same i don,t work and had a cold since last thursday its going now and worked yesterday a week after it started. When a cold first starts and then is full on then no way you don,t look ights or feel right and its not fair for the client now i am feeling well again and going back to my exercise class tomorrow so yes lost a week of work.

Hi,

I had a client get arsey when I could not work due to a full blown migraine that lasted 3 days  :FF I just do not get why on earth they would want to pay GOOD money for what would be a SUB-STANDARD booking, at best.

Just remember the agency work for you, the only way they would drop you is if they had a string of unhappy clients or kept letting them down last minute. You are worth far more to them, than they will ever be to you.

I could not work with a proper flu like virus, I tend to get hit bad. Streaming eyes/dripping nose etc. I have a bit of a rubbish immune system and I would be worried about passing it to a client with a rubbish immune system too.

I told a client off a few weeks ago, booked me and during the call he was telling me how rough he felt. I went all Domme on his arse and booked for the next week. Devoid of brains clearly.

I'm another who has been hit with this blasted cold that is going about everywhere.  Am just cutting off calls and texting them my website and telling them I'm laid up and when I hope to be back at work. God bless templates.

I have tonsillitus/ear infection and feel rough as f***.  I'm stuck in a hotel on tour, won't be able to work now.  Its been a rubbish tour anyway, I will be lucky to break even.

Just had to go to the Walk in Clinic here.  Halfway there the taxi driver says........'oh theres a clinic right next to the hotel' ......and it doesn't bloody show up in google searches.  :FF  However I was impressed how quickly I was seen and had my penicillin dished out to me.

I just want someone to appear with a giant plate of ice cream then disappear  :(

I won't work when I am not well, even if it's 'just' a cold. This is because a) it's not fair on the client, he may get ill, and b) pushing yourself while ill can make you more ill or delay the healing process, so it's a lose-lose situation for everyone.

Last week I had a stinking cold, but like I say I was able to perform my sports workouts so would have felt a bit unfair to cancel everything else. What I did do was inform my clients at time of confirmation. All said they were quite happy to go through with their bookings. One who saw me on my worst day informs me today, which is over 4 days since that he has not contracted my cold despite two hours snogging-and other sexual contact.

I've seen other clients at other times when I've had a cold, some catch it, some don't. All are fine about it, a few do cancel sometimes but it's their choice which is the important bit(and my choice to carry on OR take time off).

Unfortunately I had the horrible cold too over Easter Weekend.  Recovered other than laryngitis now and my sinuses are so bad that I had to cancel my appointments today after nearly fainting while being giving one of my regs a good talking too.  I have unfortunately tried everything on the market so it will be a trip to the dr for me.

Thanks, I'm not religious but right now I'm saying thank the Lord for antibiotics!  Feel marginally better but just overwhelmingly exhausted.  Have a long travelling day tomorrow too which I'm not looking forward to.

Still at least since my throat is less painful I can manage to eat!  Bring on some warmer weather and feeling better (for everyone) thats what I say.

I've had to cancel three incall days :( I've had flu and had a allergic reaction and I've got lesions which take a week or so to go. I've also had constipation.

I honestly miss working so much :(
