In terms of the amount of clients you see, what exactly is a good, busy working day to you?

When looking through the "Slow at the minute or just me" thread I often find myself wondering what this lady classes as "quiet" or "busy". We all have different expectations after all. 5 clients a day to one SW may be fantastic, but to others that may be quiet.

Hi,

6-7 per day in 30 or 60 minute intervals keeps me going from 11am until around 9pm. That’s what I call busy. Love counting at the end ;-)

Two bookings, even busier if they are 2 multi - hour bookings.

I think it very much depends on each person as an individual and what your financial goals are.Busy for me was 6 a day and it was probably too much for me realistically.3 was a what I called a good day,as in enough for me financially without frazzling my mind and body.1 could be quite enough though if it was a longish booking.

As I only work part-time (not every day) I look at things on a week-by-week basis, so a busy week for me would be meeting or exceeding my weekly target, which for me would be seeing approx 6 clients during that week.

I'm similar to Kit really. Even when I wasn't doing my civvy job (the first 4-5 months) I considered four a day busy. Now more than five clients in a week would be unusual for me.

Same, but sometimes I'll see 3. The other week I did 4 for the first time ever. Never done more than 3. Ever. The 4 in a day I had a headache for the rest of the week!

When I’m touring I don’t work by amount of clients  I work by how much I want to make per day and I generally have a target that I want to hit
Some days  I can get it by 3 clients by 2pm it depends on how long the bookings are and the prices   that the client has paid
but even if I make my target with 3 clients by say 2pm I will carry on working till my usual finish time which is anything from 7pm - 9pm depending on how I feel and if I’m engrossed in anything on Netflix 😂

It also depends on how late I want to work I don’t generally work late or past 9pm as I start early
But I’m pretty sure if I worked till 11pm I could easily rake in a few hundred quid more
Last night my last booking was at 9pm I had a very strange day brilliant start with a two hour and a
1 hr booking  and a 30 mins all by 2pm then dead till 5pm  then it went crazy and I didn’t stop till 9pm
When I checked my phone I missed lots of calls after 9pm so I’m sure I could have done at least 2 more bookings if I was prepared to work a bit later

When I’m at home though  I’m a lazy cow and will try to do 2 bookings a day but like I said I’m lazy and I turn down a lot of work every day
It’s much slower at home so although I could be busier I lose the motivation to stick it out 😂

For me 5-6 daily is busy day from my flat, I feel like I've done a 'proper' day. But reality 2-3 is more likely average day but that's awfull dragging and I don't like dead space in my day. If I booked a hotel on tour I'd expect to do 5-6 daily to make the effort worthwhile. If I can do an extra late outcall-overnight on top of that per night then it's all gravy. Happy to work round the clock on tour that's my ideal catch sleep in the gaps.

It varies from person to person but a busy day for me would be 4/5+

I go on a week by week or even month by month basis, because I generally see longer bookings 2 hours plus etc, so its not so much a numbers game. Something else I like to keep an eye on is amount of return clients and new clients; if I'm not getting a good mix of both I would worry because if I'm just getting returns by advertising needs a game up and if I'm just getting new guys I need to be better 'in the room' as it were. I like consistency also, more than being busy per se, I don't like things to be too erratic, or to do too many and burn out, playing the long game and all that. On the very rare occasion I tour I like to do at least 4 though, otherwise it feels pointless, and a busy tour is 6/7.

Anything more than two meets a day is considered busy by me if I am working locally.

When touring anything more than 4 I would consider busy.  Although I have yet to see more than 5 in one day but then I do have to drive home owing to family commitments.

I used to work a ridiculous amount, seeing anything up to 8 clients in a day (I would work 3 days per week of this). Now, I see up to 5 clients (all 1 hour minimum, 4 days per week) - that would be a busy day for me. Most of the time, I see two or three as they are often more than an hour booking and I don't have the same drive as before. I'm quite happy having 3 hour long bookings in a day and not feeling like my vagina or patience has been ripped apart.
