People that keep saying you aren't real, are a man (no offense), etc.

What about people who say that  you probably aren't real, are a man, etc. With this one guy,  I've left him a couple of messages and he's heard my voice (as well as seen pictures).

He wants to talk to me by phone, which is totally fine. And I understand his concerns (maybe he's been burned before). But is his paranoia a bad sign? Or just means that he's a bit cautious (which is probably good)?

Thanks again for answering my random questions, and I hope this stuff helps others too.

Anyone who thinks Im not real gets the reply, "you're just too damn scared to actually live out your fantasy and actually meet, or you just too broke to live it out."

I tell men I'm used to guys cancelling on me out of fear that Im too attractive for them to handle.

If he thought that you were a bait and switch how would talking to you on the telephone reassure him? You could still be anyone.. More likely its a good excuse to have a series of terminally boring semi flirtatious conversations with a chap who has no intention of paying you.

Rule of thumb, I would always say, is that if they start coming on with that you simply tell them that there is a really good way to find out if you are real..book you!

Some people are nervous about all sorts of things, and it could be just a coincidence that he's drawing it out with you, a newbie who doesn't know better. I suspect not though.

Stop leaving messages and having whatever email discussions you're having. Tell him that if talking to you live would ease his mind he should call you (like a normal client) to make a booking. You're not going to get into a nice chat on the phone, tell him what you had for breakfast or do whatever it is he wants may require to convince him that you're not a robot. If that's not enough to set his mind at ease then you'll have to say sorry, there's nothing more you can do.

If this doesn't go anywhere don't feel like you should have been more accommodating. If he's just after free jollies, which he probably is, doing what he wants isn't going to get you anywhere closer to paying your rent.

Ha, I can only agree with everything the girls and boys above said, but honestly - if I got an email saying, "Are you a man (no offense)?" I would just go "LOL" and ignore it. It's probably a troll (someone trying to provoke a response out of you by saying the rudest/weirdest thing they can think of), I get loads of those trying to comment on my blog, too; they populate the Interweb pretty densely. Also - if he asked you to call him but doesn't pick up his phone, I believe he's probably getting some kinda shits'n'giggles from you leaving him voicemail messages. If he's honestly terrified and honestly wants to meet you? Then he'll call you, same as all the other genuine clients do. :)

Trust me - I'm sure you've seen tons of nervous clients before - if the guy is genuine, he'll get over any trepidations in order to get laid!

Some fool called me today, and then hung up...and when I called back, he texts me: "are you gay?"

I actually laughed, despite being angry enough to toss the phone at some muppets head.
