Want to advertise more but a bit worried
« on: 27 July 2014, 09:51:06 am »
Morning ladies,

I've been extensively learning from here. My weekend was awfully quiet, nothing since Fri but I know that I must advertise somewhere else than adultwork. So I'll be handling this today.

I'm thinking about punternet and the other two punter sites. However I'm a bit worried. I read somewhere here that punters can be very harsh. I know that on adultwork you get ratings and field reports, mine are good and I enjoy what I've been doing so far.

But from what I understand here on Saafe is that on punternet, punterlink and punterzone guys are actually talking to each other, right? And if one of them doesn't like what he got then he can virtually ruin your reputation.

So, my question is: which one of the 3 above would be the right place to start? Knowing also that I am kind of looking for a certain type of clients: older and rather well mannered...?

Thank you
Charlotte xx

Only a minority of clients use forums, and you don't have to advertise on the respective websites to be mentioned - most sites now discuss and carry reviews for AW profiles, so whether you advertise on there or not you could be discussed.

My experience is that AW service seekers can be just as harmful or harsh as forum members, and I'd not let rumours affect you or where you advertise. At one time AW was considered not the place to advertise. Seems to have changed somewhat!

Thank you Rosa. Do I need a website to advertise? I won't be able to set up one myself and I really can't afford one now, I just don't make enough...

There are directories (and punting forums are not directories/advertising sites - the two things are separate) which don't require a website for you to set up a profile - Select An Escort, My Local Escorts and UK Adultzone (I think - I don't use it but it's been mentioned here) allow you to build a page on the site where you can add the info you want, and there will be others.

If they're not getting a link back from you (and therefore traffic to their site), then most will want you to pay but not all of them do :).

Amy, thanks a lot. Hope you're having a good day!
