I also use Viva street. It is sometimes good and then other times I don't get anything. I find for leeds and LEICESTER it is a must. For Scotland and Newcastle it is hit and miss. London not  so good.

The thing i dont like about Vivastreet is that they edit your advert, your not allowed to use words like GFE, sensual, sexy etc, so you cant get yourself across in your words.

The calls i get from there are mostly young foreign guys/ text speak kind of people/asian/Indian etc, which i wont see. I suppose it depends the kind of clients you want.

You can have afree listing on there, or pay to be Featured and highlighted etc.

There's a thread in the Spamming in the Lions Den section on Vivastreet, they had a go at improving their Escort advertising section and there may still be the possibility of a free ad if you've not advertised with them before.

Personally I find it a dead loss, only attracts really green guys who think I'll toddle off into the back of beyond for half my actual fee after they've said they'll pay handsomely. Couple of known TWs and blocked clients also respond like clockwork each time I advertise on there.

Other ladies say it works well for them, I think it depends who and where you are.

Viva st does work but you need to have it on a different number to your main number and just filter out the tw  other wise you wont know where all the calls are coming from

Im in Birmingham at the moment  and using  it there and  got 5 bookings from it in the past 2 days  -   4 1hours and a 15 min ( lol) and they were all nice clients  no probs with paying ?100+ per hour

Good thing is that when i leave birmingham on sunday i will just remove my number and website details but leave my dates on the advert along with my pictures  saying when I'm going back and when i go back just put the number back up

I had my add on vivastreet in Oxford and all I used to get were young guys trying to get a freebie, even trying to convince me that they found my add in the dating section, whatever it is. I was Soooo pissed off with them by the end of the month that didn't even think about extending my add there for another month.

Its weird because i think it works well in some places   and not in others  just goes to show how different places  can be in terms of advertising and stuff

I recently had a free months advertising on Vivastreet and after 1 day I took it down.

Some ladies might find it useful but if your selective like I am then it will do nothing but irritate you.

Vivastreet does have a lot of traffic to the site but usually men are on there looking to by a car or something then stumble across the escort section and send you texts/emails that are non genuine. My phone was flooded with calls, all non genuine or wanting services I do not offer at all.

So I gave up on it straight away. A higher volume of calls isn't a higher volume of clients so I just thought I didn't need the extra hassle but each to they're own.

I had an ad on viva street for Manchester and I found it to be a complete waste of time.  Like a few other girls have said, a lot of the interest I got was from tw and guys who found it by accident I think.  Genuine punters in Manchester didn't seem to use it.

It's very weird because I've ad several booking from both places that I'm working from
in total since thurs I've had 7 bookings from viva st working in two different cities

I think it helps though that I ave my prices on it and my website as well

All,  or at least, most of TWs and no-shows that I had came from Viva street, not to mention wankers. Had one or two legit clients only.
 Again, that is my experience.
Probably depends on which area youre operating in, your rates, etc.
I found it to be waste of time and money.

I got very few decent/genuine clients from Vivastreet when I advertised with them for a few months when in Scotland.  Vast majority were TWs/young NEDs/druggies/Sexters etc etc.  Its a bit like Friday Ad, you have to go through an awful lot of chaff to get the wheat!

I would say most who puruse Vivastreet are looking at the lower end of the spectrum for prices.  One guy upon hearing my prices (which really are not OTT) asked 'what are you a supermodel'!

I replied to this thread earlier saying that I found viva street a waste of time in Manchester. Then this week I had a trip to Birmingham so Decided to try viva street again.

Lots of calls and a few emails.  Not a single booking!

I had an ad on it for London, and definitely share the majority view that its a great way to waste money and time- lots of calls, and hardly any bookings. The couple of bookings I did have were from totally green guys... And if you charge much past ?100 it's definitely not the place, or so it seems!

I think if you are working in any big city your ad will get lost in the plethora of ads unless it is outstanding.

I agree though that guys who browse vivastreet are usually shocked at many of the prices.  Perhaps they just aren't used to other sites and prossies prices  :(

I live near two small cities and advertise on there all the time with success.

I would't be without it although ?60 a month is a lot to fork out but AW is too quiet for me these days on its own.

Vivastreet allow you to put pricing and web site details in your advert?  Are we talking about the same Viva street because it was basic information like this that could have made the advert worth putting up.

But like most ladies, if I'm paying that much, then differentiate yourself from the sites that charge much less or nothing at all, AND allow us to describe ourselves a little better.

I do remember, a few years ago, doing pretty well with it in London.  Then the prices rose at the same time that the moderators got stupid with the moderation.  For example, I'd do an advert upgrade, not touching the text or photos.  Then the advert that I'd just paid extra for would go off-line as it was back in moderation.  Then it would appear with text or photos missing that had been okay before the second moderation.  The second moderation only triggered by my fool-hardy decision to upgrade the advert.  I was paying more money to get my advert butchered.  It's like rather than there being an even set of rules for moderation, the person on night duty might get over-zealous and wield the axe!

The lesson I took from that was, leave well enough alone after the first moderation and don't even think of upgrading with an add-on. How not to incentivise a customer!

I find VivaStreet does make my phone ring, but primarily with twats. I have gotten bookings from it, and I guess enough to make it worthwhile.

They have apparently loosened their strict rules and we can now put a URL to our websites and be a little more explicit about what we do.

I think the reason it attracts idjits is that it's the first result on Google for searches like "Escorts in Manchester." The people looking are not the more knowledgeable sorts who are using AW or Punternet, etc.

As above, there's a detailed VS thread in Spamming with all the relevant information about their advertising rules plus customer service contacts. I suspect you're right about the Google ranking (and I don't use it as I don't have the patience) but whether letting folk include more info will help, only time will tell :).

The people looking are not the more knowledgeable sorts who are using AW[...]

There's a sentence you don't see every day ;D.

I bought a separate PAYG phone, solely to use for Vivastreet.
I leave it on silent in a drawer and each night I have an Ad running, I send a template text to all the missed calls with my *website link.
They can then call me at my website number to arrange a booking.
Each month I will gain 1 or 2 genuine Clients that go on to become long-term regulars.

That's how I make Vivastreet work for me  :)

* The web-link and full info-including prices and rules of conduct etc- are also shown on my Ad ( this is all allowed now ), but you know what fellas are like when they see some tasty pics and a phone number.. :FF

This is what I do generally  but I do find it work well in some cities    Like birmingham . There is a trick with viva st to get cheap featured / reposting stuff that works brilliantly ESP in places like London where its 90 for featuring
Pm me if anyone wants to know how to get it for ?30'for 10 day

I treat Vivastreet in the same way as I've treated the Daily Sport in the past - a lot of idiots, a lot of "details please" calls and a lot of stupid texts (I had three texts over a week from the same number all asking if I'm interested in botox - ummm). The Daily Sport actually yielded some of my nicest clients when I hadn't lost the plot after hours of bollocks phone calls, and I've had lovely clients from Vivastreet. I still got calls from AW where they clearly thought "tits she's got big tits I like big tits" and somehow managed to bash their knuckles against the phone sufficiently well enough to call me so Vivastreet isn't really any different to me. I do think with Vivastreet calls you have to be a lot more quick on the ball with your TW radar, and I treat it as a meeting in the middle of my AW/website profile and DS advertising - my VS ad has my rates and name on it, so if they don't ask "hi is that X" and ask me what my rates are (clarification is fine, asking outright is not), they get binned. But I don't mind saying what services I do and don't provide as it doesn't allow me to say on there - I don't want a guy turning up expecting OWO as standard, CIM, A and whatnot when one is at a tight discretion (usually regulars only) and the others aren't provided. Plus I don't think its fair on a client to not know what he's getting either.

I used to advertise on Viva street. You get a huge volume of calls but many of them are hagglers, time wasters or no shows or their english is so poor its impossible to give them say directions etc. My advice is perhaps have a seperate viva street phone so you know when they ring they will have zero info really as you can't put rates or services and if they sound at all dodgy just say you can do a half hour as like I say you will get a fair few no shows and you don't want to be booking them in for hours and turning down genuine clients. You will also get alot of late night callers, I mean at all hours.
I stopped advertising as overall I think its quite expensive for what it is and the constant stream of idiots you have to put up with on the phone to actually get a few proper bookings can start to get on your nerves. Now and then they do offers of a months free advert and thats when I go back on.

Viva street or the company that operates do in fact use your paid advert on their sister dating sites without telling you. I discovered this the other day, it will still say on the advert you are an escort but I guess some people see dating site and don't read the ad properly.

Adsdating, timesdating, freedatingwebsite were 3 I found myself on. They also own escortmagazine which as confusing as it sounds is a website. I have an ad on there because it is free but started finding myself on these 'dating' sites after advertising on both viva and escortmagazine with my original advert take word for word. As I only write it that way for viva and escort (without rates and services etc) I know its from there.

bibi do you know if they would permanently remove our details on their sites but keep naturally our info on the site advert as they should do?

Is it worth me contacting them next week?  They are always very professional on the 'phone....?

Is it for all escorts they do this or just ones where we tick the third party box.  As I have not ticked the third party box perhaps they have not done this....?

I have no idea love.I've not contacted them to ask to have it removed. To be honest I don't think I get contacted much due to the dating site ads. They seem to come up about 5 pages in on google so not much traffic but might explain why when you go on viva et al you get the odd confused bloke asking to date you.
But if you find yourself on one of the sites I mentioned contact the site and see what they say would be interesting to see how they explain why you are on there.I don't remember ticking any boxes about affiliate sites.

It all depends on which site is used the most in your targeted are. Like here in Belfast is viva and escort Ireland that bring me the most traffic.

Hi Amy,

Yes, I found that thread after I posted this and almost fell off my chair.  Almost ran out there and placed an advert myself!  But it's still the most any web site commands for advertising and the end results (bookings) still seem to be hit and miss.

Well vivastreet is fine for me not too many nutters I have put my prices in the ad so I don't get too many timewasters calling and everybody sounded normal who rang today ...  Prior to this I hadn't put my telephone no in but they offer a protected phone number service which is good.

For some reason they are only charging me ?10 this month too!

I made it clear in my ad I will only answer when I am available in the day for work i.e. weekdays daytimes only.

If they start doing my nut in the good thing is all I have to do is to delete the number on the ad itself!
