Temporary Out Calls Dilemma
« on: 13 February 2015, 07:08:41 pm »
I've got a bit of a dilemma. ??? I usually do in calls. I'm having some essential building work done on my flat which will last a maximum of two weeks- I hope. Obviously I cant do in calls while the works being done. I do have a job away from escorting but rely on money from this as well. It will seriously impact if I can't escort for two weeks. I can't entertain at home during the evenings. A few of my regulars have said they will pay for a hotel room to meet me while this is all going on. Some of these are usually half hour bookings. If I meet my regulars at a hotel for half an hour it will be at least an hour and half round trip. Now do I charge my normal rate or an out call rate. I don't want to upset my regs and seem greedy (im grateful they are happy to pay for a hotel) and its not their fault Ive got work being carried out. But its going to cost me in terms of time. I did think about just charging them extra for my travel expenses. Any ideas would be appreciated. xx

I charge ?20 extra for outcalls - most people do charge a bit more for outcalls, I've seen it range from ?10-?150 extra. I personally don't think it's unreasonable to ask - like you said it will take you extra time to travel but could understand that your regulars may be a bit unhappy if they're used to your incall rate. Have you considered working from hotels yourself during the two weeks? That could maybe be a solution.

If they are paying for hotels etc then there's no way I would charge them outcall rates on top.

People don't like feeling ripped off or taken for granted, you might find that some would feel that way which I think is fair enough.

Infact, it's not even their responsibility to supply you with accommodation to see them in. Could you not just get your own hotel room and see a number of clients per day or evening which will keep you afloat?

Am thinking that may be the way to go. The last thing I want to do is upset my regulars xx

I agree with Miss K.Depending on which hotel your client is paying for you could potentially use the room afterwards for other bookings anyway.

So do I. Apart from anything else, would you seriously do a half hour outcall to somewhere that took you three times that to get there? I wouldn't even do a half hour outcall to the next street :D.
