What does she think you do?

If you have a reason to have a stream of typically-older-than-you men coming to your door, alone, then the number can be quite high provided they are not actually disturbing people. This means a) having the story right and b) ruthlessly screening them / making them follow the right arrival procedure. It can also help if you have some single women turning up, especially when you know the neighbours are in.

Depending what you do about laundry, you may need to be careful about how much visible washing of the sheets etc you do.

dose she have a spyhole in her door   -   the reason i ask is because  she neednt be outside in the corridor  to watch whats going on in the corridor -
personally i never ever speak to any neighbours in my working flat and dont even know who lives next door  and  i rarely speak to my own neighbours at my own home  unless i really really have to  and by not speaking to them it gives them no reason at all  to even ask the dreaded question what do you do for a living ????
do you live there , as well as working there

i think its just one of those where your just gonna have to suck it and see ;D   i always find that the nicer you are to people the worse they seem to be -   hence my attitude of not speaking  to neigbours ,as it gives them nothing to find out about me
who are you worried that she is going to report you to   landlords,  other residents,
Do you have a website  / advert in the paper that she can link you to
if you had to move you would get your deposit back so that would go towards new rent  although i know what you mean about not wanting to move its a bloody nightmare
you could just get a indelible black marker pen and at night just colour over her spyhole   ;D

Yeah she has a spyhole  :-\

I'd thought that if I made a point of being friendly to her and speaking, and always making sure I take my turn at cleaning the landing, cutting grass etc that she would actually be less likely to report anything. Dunno though. I even gave her a bottle of vodka someone gave me that I didn't want (just said I don't drink vodka do you want it!).

I don't live there, just work there. However she thinks I live there too.

So... how many "visitors" per day do you ladies think I could get away with without alerting her? My dilemma is ... I want to make decent money in a relatively short time but I will be really stuck for another place if she did find out and finding another place would be a huge dent in my savings (daytime outcalls very limited in my area - when I offered them I got like 2 a month)

I work from my flat where I live, but the layout is ideal because (amongst other reasons) there isn't a door opposite mine. Even having said that I am careful about how many punters I see a day when I'm at home - the main entrance to my building isn't overlooked, but you can always guarantee one idiot will stride up and down outside shouting your work name down his mobile or something which is one of the reasons I know my screening can come across on here as incredibly strict, but I own my home and won't take risks.

I am polite to my neighbours if I see them, but I keep my head down as much as I can and I don't think many have even seen me enough times to recognise me from my pictures if they saw them. I have a spyhole and always look to see if anybody is in the hallway before I go out (I wait if they are) and I try to only go out in baggy/gym clothes and with my hair all tied up or under a hat.

The most I would see in a day at home would be three or maybe four if they were well spaced out - I try to keep it to two, and only four days a week if possible. I make up the difference when I'm working away though, so it evens out. I can't see that there's much more you can do, especially the professional clothing and getting your friend to call round and knock on her door. If you were doing sports massages and so on from home I wouldn't worry about five a day or thereabouts.

Hiya

When I was in Portsmouth I used to work from where I lived.....and I did worry about too many guys coming up and down the stairs (I was right at the top) and the neighbours noticings.  Ususually I only saw 1-2 guys a day, but on occaisions more.

But actually they could have been visiting for any no. of reasons, a lot of it was paranoia in my head....and they never noticed in the 6 months I was there.

As long as like Amy says you also use careful screening procedures also.  I also never saw many guys at night, so it seemed to work.

Right now I'm itching to get my own place again, as there is big demand for incalls where I've moved to!

Hope this is helpful

It sounds like she's got no reason to doubt your story, so if you can have some women coming over now and then and keep the noise down I think you'll be ok. 4 clients a day is a reasonable number for a massage therapist.

If she ever comments on the demographics of your clients you could say that you get quite a lot of work from word-of-mouth and you've found yourself with a bunch of [insert profession that's dominated by older men].

Thanks guys x

That idea about saying most of my work comes from word of mouth referrals from (maybe accountants! or office workers sitting down all day so 'sore backs') sounds like a great plan. But I will only drop it into conversation if the subject of work comes up x

I use my home apartment for work, its perfect for incalls. A new small block of apartments in Birmingham city centre. Neighbours arnt nosey or anything, the hallway is always pretty much silent. A 2-bed apartment so 1 room is my bedroom and the other for work.

I lapdance at a gentlemens club 1-2 nights per week which i find is a great way of advertising myself for potential clients - its crazy how much money you get offered to have sex! The most ive had was ?1000 just for a 10 minute shag. Some men are absolutely loaded.

And i escort 5-6 days per week. The amount of clients i get is always different as some days there isnt any, some days i get several, probably average 4-5 per day? The most ive ever had in a day was 11 clients that was when i used to work from a massage parlour though, from home i think it was 8.

I do love lots of money, and sex with strangers really is my biggest turn on so doing what i do suits me perfectly. I dont really have many friends anymore as everyone would disown me if they knew what im really like... ie a slut. So i the best way to keep it secret is by avoiding friendship. My family dont know either, its one of the reason why i work in the city as all my family live like 20 miles away so they havnt a clue what i get upto.

Thanks Lou x

I have often thought a modern apartment like yours would be better. Probably full of business professionals out during the day. As far as I know my neighbour works very part-time in the evenings.  :(

It is a shame you say you have ruled out friendships though  :'( Could you maybe get in touch with a few sex workers in your area and meet up over a coffee or something? Don't mean to give unwanted advice or anything, just I know how it feels to be lonely in this line of work. I used to go stir-crazy until I told a couple of existing friends and met a few fellow sex workers.

The 2-5 a day plan is going quite well so far (hope I didn't just jinx myself there!). I start off at a maximum of 5, then reduce the number to see that day if I see/hear evidence of neighbours in/around. So for example, if her house is quiet and no lights on etc when I get there in the morning, I will take advantage of that and see more clients as she will be out for the day, but if it looks like she is going to be in and around that day (ie lights, voices, seeing her hang washing out, short errands) then I reduce it to 2 ish. I am aware this "formula" and stalking of the neighbour may make me sound a bit paranoid and OCD  ;D
