And don't even leave innocent things like glasses lying around a weirdo nicked mine.or your toothbrush..!! I remember Amy had a tip if you let cleaners do your room , put 2 toothbrushes in a glass, to give illusion of 2 people staying, which I thought was top tip, but I hide away!!

Yes, I have mine both here ;D. I make sure I'm out early so the cleaners can get on and then I don't have to have the DND sign on all day, but I try to use hotels where there's a swing bolt or a chain so the door won't open if somebody does decide to march in, and I put the sign on just for bookings if there isn't one.

Another thing I do is carry a gaudy-looking gift bag with Happy Birthday or something plastered all over it when I check in - you can put your lunch in it and then just fold a scarf or something and put it over the top (so it looks like you're off to a family do or whatever) but this really isn't necessary outside the dodgier/more difficult places.

The smoking ban has been good for us in the sense that people are wanting to come in and out at all times of the day and night plus there's often people milling about in the entrances, even if it is unutterably foul to walk through.
how strange I just wrote on my comments after booking hotel in belfast NO Connecting room! Arnt they awful! It's like sharing with a stranger and trying to shag.! That's a good one with birthday bag , oh another for poster that I'm nicking is get a door wedge if these no bolts on door ! I've never had a ring either! So do you find you putting hotel, it doesn't lose you on a tour, I may try it then and cut down the calls, I just felt I could talk some into it! But having sadis that I do think genuine guys say yes and then change there mind and stand me up in process mmmm give that some thought, might have less of a headache,

So the summary ladies is...

Own teabags and mug
Second ruse toothbrush
Get errands out of the way in the morning
Try to stay put
Door wedge
Covert towel stealing

Thank you all very much :) Hopefully the two days will be worthwhile!

Laptop for bookings/keep you entertained but this is obvious :)
Coffee...hotel coffee is terrible
Milk never lasts
Food (room service is overpriced and not good)
Books/magazines
Baby wipes and of course the usual escort things

I would list more but I am sure its been covered, I always take too much to hotels and within the hour all my things are everywhere and I'm rushing around moving them before the client gets to my room  :P

Leave milk in cold water in sink, if warm day, or put in a flask to stay cool!

You can hang it out of the window in a carrier too, if it's one of the places that has the heating on full blast from October to May irrespective of what the weather's like. I try to only book hotels that have a fridge or at least a mini bar, but some places it's just not possible.

If you're only going for a couple of days you can take a couple of towels with you as well as a one for yourself, but if you don't want to just ring up and ask for more (and I normally do this at the end of the day so I have new ones for morning, then stash them in my case before I go out and they change the original ones) then spill your coffee on them first and then just sound apologetic when they bring the fresh ones.

Always get the guys to your floor and ask them to ring from there.

While browsing for tips found very helpful but is this completely discreet?. All I can visualize is somebody clocking on to what they are doing. I am good at working others out if can hear there phone call. Imagine if cleaners over heard how bad would that be.

Now better browse some more for tips. :)
