Twitter for advertising
« on: 14 November 2019, 02:41:36 am »
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone uses Twitter as a place to advertise? Do you find that Twitter helps you gain frequent clients?

I personally wouldn't think that Twitter is a good place to advertise as an escort. By using Twitter, wouldn't people be encouraged to enjoy your free content and as a result be unlikely to book because of this?

Is posting free content beneficial in the amount of money you make?
From the weird, weird west :p

I use it to promote my cam and will every so often post pics to the retweet pages. Nothing major. But gives them a teaser and every so often people will go through and buy my content via my links. So it can work just don’t give it all away.

I haven’t seen any clients from twitter but I see lots of women posting their number etc. I personally wouldn’t post my number but it must work for advertising if they keep doing it over and over.

What I don’t recommend is to give away a free booking that I see some ladies doing. Each to their own but that to me shows your willing to do freebies and in my opinion can attract the wrong kind of client.

That’s my advice anyways.

I get a lot of work from twitter. I've been on there almost 4 years and I have close to 10,000 followers. As far as posting content literally just selfies occasionally and professional pics that are also on your website. You don't have to give away too much. It's best if you actually just engage with other sex workers on twitter rather than clients because twitter clients will suck the life out of you and many are tw who just want to be internet friends.

Tweet for lurkers and community and the clients will follow.

I had two insta accounts shut down. Gave up after that. :(
Wasn’t much help to me but maybe if you were more careful you could build up a following. ??

Yes many follow it in the same way as blogs. The only problem is some may try use the DM system to book, rather than phone, SMS text or email.  I really want the direct contact,  and keeping an eye on umpteen apps, forum PMs, website messaging systems, AW messages makes it easy to miss(I turn off notification noises to prevent interference with actual calls/SMS texts/emails).

I've had 2 clients for bookings from Twitter in 5 years, but it's very good for promoting pics, webcam and movies.

I've been on Twitter since October. I've built up 430 followers and I'm just starting to get bookings from it. My perspective is that its a free advertising source that's completely low effort. I'm a fairly standard gay man in that I like to take pictures of my bits anyway, so I just post them on Twitter on a regular basis.

Just be careful, because SWs do get kicked off Twitter for posting explicit pics/videos. Thousands do it, obviously, but they must pick some at random, or due to reports.

Yep I have had my twitter suspended with no reason given. Can only assume because I'm a sw.

My twitters been up for 3 years. I did weekly updates for a few months and linked it to my website, then abandoned it as no work whatsoever.

I have been using twitter on and off for years, with a few accounts. One account I had built up nearly 4k followers and I did get clients from it.

I closed that one down and started another when I rebranded..  it only reached 1k then I got locked out because I forgot my password and didn't have  recovery set up but did get some clients and fans for onlyfans from it.

I've just started a new on new one and am going to begin an online course in social media marketing so I can get the best from it. Aside from being fairly useful for getting clients at my home base, I plan on using it to propel any touring I do next year, and promoting my online services which I have thrown myself fully into (and getting good results).

Mainly I find that fans use it as a way to keep entertained by my doings. It's an extension of my brand and this time around am really going to use social media as a way to emulate my persona, as opposed to just detailing what's been going on with me. I plan on it being much more strategic as opposed to just sharing photos and updates - this is what attracts the freebie hunters and the almost-creepy stalkers who watch and like everything you post, then relay it back to me in sessions  :-\

It can be a very useful tool when used correctly. I hope to get it right this time!
