Thanks - though kind of lost concentration after chocolate was mentioned . I do have one friend I could perhaps ask but its difficult as I kind of want to keep it separate from my other work and friends and family. I am visiting a parlour this week so may go down that route where I guess it is a little less important? though I have a meeting with a couple of agencys lined up too.
Parlours are certainly the safest kind of work, as long as you're not working alongside any total lunatics - make sure you feel safe enough with your colleagues there cos they'll be the ones you'll be relying on should you have to deal with a horrible and/or mad client.
Listen to your gut at all interviews and remember that you're the one hiring the agent or choosing the parlour and they're the ones that want a piece of
your earnings. Suss them out as much as you possibly can and follow your instincts. Don't bend over backwards to impress them - all they need to know is that you're attractive and reliable, really, whereas you need to figure out if their story about "taking sooo much care of all our girls because we're like one big family!" is even remotely true.
Number One Rule: If it sounds too good to be true, it definitely is. Nobody makes ten grand in a week (or even a month, unless they're SuperHo
) doing this job, and this job is rarely easy, so if anyone starts telling you that they know how you can make lots of easy money, run away as fast as you can!
Post for a safety buddy on the appropriate section of this forum if you need one; you should at least be able to find someone to be temporary security for your first booking. If you're in London, I could do it (just the first one or two, though, and no late nights!) - but do post, as you might be able to get in touch with other nearby newbies and you'll be able to help each other out a lot.
