Travelling
« on: 13 September 2008, 02:42:08 am »
Hi everyone. I posted a couple questions here a while back and thank everyone for your excellent help.

I wonder about being flown out to a different city by a client (I have an offer). I've cultivated an escorting mentor who's done that a number of times before, and he (a male escort) seems to be all right with it. The concern (I'm not very worried about it) is that the client will have to know my name to buy my ticket. I'm not an old hand yet so I'm just asking for any comments that you might have on the subject.

It's much more lucrative to travel.

Thanks in advance for anything!

Ideally, you want a flexible ticket, so you can leave early if necessary. This also means that it's easier for you to buy the ticket (with the client's money!) rather than have the client buy it for you. The downside is that these aren't cheap.

Even if it's Easyjet etc, you can ask for the money for your ticket in advance. Especially if it's an extended period with the client. Think of it as a deposit.

(I'm not suggesting it applies here, but male escorts can get rather complacent about security. I wonder if it's the 'I'm a man, I can look after myself' effect kicking in, or if it's not doing any security stuff with casual partners. I know I've done things I happily advise others against. I've been lucky, but I've seen it bite others, especially in relation to drug use with clients or leaving payment too late.)

On the couple of occassions I've flown to see a client, 1 was a trusted and respected client within the BBW community, and I'd seen him a few times before, so on that occasion I didn't mind giving him my real name to book the ticket with.

But on the other occasion, although the customer had seen a friend of mine, this would've been the first time I myself had seen him, so I wasn't totally comfortable. I looked up the airfare myself and sent a link to the customer so he could see how much the fare was, and I had him transfer the fare to my bank account so I could book the ticket myself. It's a little account where nothing much goes in. That might be an option to consider.

Mind you, things may have changed slightly now, that was a few years ago. Back then he didn't have to have my name to deposit the money. Just my sort code and account. I'm not sure now.

You don't need a name to deposit money, but if you do it in person at the bank (rather than a transfer), they'll tell him your last name so he can confirm it's the right account.
