would like some help please from you.  hope its ok that i have started a new part

i have recently done a cpl of tours, brum was ok but essex was crap.  there were so many timewasters, asking where i was and was i available, i told them where and yes and then nothing else from them, is this normal for tours - people just winding u up !!!

i also wanted to ask you all if you find touring better in the week rather than at w/e.

im not sure if there is a pattern at the mo but just wondering what seems to work out best for you

hope u get back to me on this as i wud like to get back on the road

Im off to Oxford tomorrow for a couple of days so I will let you know.

I have one booking in advance, have advertised on AW and punterlink tour boards so fingers crossed.  Mind you it is supposed to be a holiday so I am not looking for mega business, just break even with a bit of pocket money would be nice, any more a bonus.

Have booked a 4* with a spa so a bit of pampering in order!

Most of my work at the moment is touring. I just love doing it, I mostly tour Ireland, and some parts of the UK, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, etc.
Certain places do have a certain rhythm in terms of how the traffic flows. Also where you stay in the town, or city you are in can also affect business. When I am touring in Dublin, I use to stay in the city center, but then so does everyone else, now I stay at the Airport, and business is fantastic there, less competition, plus there is a large suburban area around. And the hotels at the airport are great for this, loads of traffic, so no one notices comings and goings.

And to answer your question, yes it is part of the job, having wankers call and book fake appointments. What I find helps, is asking them to reconfirm the appointment about a half hour before. If they don't call, I have no problem giving that spot to some one else.

Look to see what events or holidays are happening in the area you choose to work. Also, if it is summer time, head to holiday resort towns! Trust me, a week of camping with the wife and kids will drive most men to drink or screw. :)

When you stay in a hotel at the airport there is normally no shops around so what do you do about getting drinks for the clients and snacks for yourself cos hotels are very expensive?

As to that, there is usually a filling station around, so I will stock up on drinks, phone credit, snacks before I get to the hotel. Also often there are Tesco's in the damn-dest places. I often ask where the nearest one is. Also in Dublin there is a small town close to the airport, that has a shopping mall as well. Just as the hotel staff, they are usually knowlegeable. Oh if you do ask the hotel, call form the phone, do not ask in person. You don't want them knowing you too well. Kisses and good luck Violette

In addition to Violette's sound advice for touring airport hotels, if you're unsure what exactly is surrounding your hotel, either buy stuff before you leave, or enroute to the hotel if you can.
When I stayed a night at Heathrow a couple of weeks ago, I went via Victoria Stn, where they had a Mark's Simply Foods. I just stocked up on a couple of small bottles of juices and a medium sized bottle of water. I actually bought myself a salad, a sandwich and dessert at Mark's too because I had read previous reviews on my hotel that their room service was extortionate. I wasn't forking out ?20 for a plate of fish n' chips.

And as Violette also suggests, call the hotel beforehand if you have any queries. Don't do it when you're there. Also read reviews on your hotel of choice, Trip Advisor is a godsend for that. Reviewers mention if keycards are needed, or if there's security at the entrance that might put off your clients, that sort of thing.
Every hotel I stay in now, or think about staying in, I read reviews on it first. For work or pleasure.

Tours for us that have not toured are pretty daunting.

I have to go to Manchester in June. I would like to go a few days earlier and work.
I also see tours as a good way to earn cash through the summer school holidays, if you have a reliable sitter that is. I do have one. So, tours for me would be easier than work from home in the summertime.

My question is this. If your touring a city and have never been there before, how do you go about drumming up interest? Obviously slap it on your site and on the adult sites, but does it really garner interest?

Should I be advertising now for Manchester even though it's not until June?
How do you get the guys to want to book you in a city that is not your city when they have escorts that live there that there they are probably using?

The airport thing.
It crossed my mind that these hotels have people only staying a night. Do you get the eyebrow when you book in for longer than a night?
They're working on Viagra for women. Are they crazy? That's been around for hundreds of years - its called cash... Alonzo Boden.

yes, it really does! People love to see the new one in town, so they will come. I have yet to go on a tour and not meet atleast 1 client. Just be sure to say "I'm visiting from x to x" so they'll know you wont be in town for long.

I believe someone on here is advertising for something in London and its not until June...Atleast if you advertise it early, even if no one calls you for that advanced date, it'll give you time to allow more people to see your ad. The mistake I made on previous tours was not advertising soon enough...

I doubt it. For example, I met a client who was in town at the airport hotel for 2 nights. And if it's anything like the one I went to, there will be people going in and out.

Shit, Im getting excited just thinking about when I'll be able to tour again, wont be anything like the last ones...no playing around next time! Enjoy yours!
