Touring Advice for North England
« on: 07 April 2024, 02:10:05 pm »
Hi all!

I’m a FSSW based in London, and I’m planning on doing my very first tour in a few weeks. I’m thinking of spending a few days in Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.

My main question is how shall I go about organising my trips when I don’t have a website or any social media?

As of yet, I’ve only got a profile on Adultwork. Would it work out ok if I just book my hotels as normal and arrive on the days planned? I know many providers advertise weeks in advance to generate interest and collect pre-bookings, but all I have is a “tours” section on my profile. So I can’t imagine any clients from those cities will even know I exist lol

Any advice would be super appreciated! I’m so nervous that it’ll be a massive fail and I’ll spend money I can’t risk losing :(

Xx

Its difficult to say as it depends on so many factors, how much you charge, how many other woman are touring that week etc. But I have gone on tours that were fairly late planned and just used AW & done well & tours when I've advertised multiple places and in advance etc and not done so well. I would say though, that those large cities, esp in the North (I would count birm as Midlands, not north but the point is the same) are often cited as been difficult to have busy tours, because there are so many agencies/parlours and a higher concentration of tourers etc.
