Scented Bedsheets
« on: 16 October 2008, 03:53:20 pm »
I have turned down a booking today because a guy who seemed pretty genuine at first started talking about scented bedsheets, his tone of voice changed when he mentioned them and the whole tone of the call changed.  I didnt like it so i turned it down.  I also remember hearing about scented bedsheets in a warnings forum at some point.  Are they always a bad thing or could they be harmless?  He said he wanted to use satin scented bedsheets hed bought from ann summers, they dont sell them.  Do i put this guy on the warnings board?  Do i ignore it?

this is the first really creepy call i have had.  what shall i do ladies?

He comes up in the warnings every so often. No-one's ever said they've met him, and since he keeps up the creepy MO I wonder if he just likes being creepy and doesn't really want to meet anyone.

Apart from stories of this guy, I've never heard of scented bedclothes. I don't think you need to worry about separating the good scented sheet guys from the bad ones.

No I've seen those warnings too, and you have to listen to your gut. Whether he has actually got the intention of meeting anyone or not you're still right on in your feelings and I've read the warning of him telling girls he was going to ether them so he could take advantage. And if he does intend to use these things then god knows what could happen. Did he call from a withheld or unknown number?

Hope you're ok and not weirded out.

I was weirded out, a bit more than i thought i would be by weird calls.  dont get me wrong, i get my fair share of ordinary time wasters as well as the weird ones but i didnt like this.  It might have been because i had gotten so far through the booking process, i had hotel name, his name, time booked etc before he mentioned them.  Or it might have been because of the thought of someone using those sorts of sheets if they ever do.

Maybe i was more pi**d off than freaked.  Ive had 3 long winded time wasters today so i thought i finally had a booking under my belt.  bugger.

it wasnt a hidden number even.  twat.  Now im in a poxy mood and have to go to work and smile at poxy men all night.  bugger.

I went hunting for that warning and didn't find it but I'm sure I've seen the same.  Does it seem to anyone like more warnings come for outcall bookings than incall; or is it kind of even?  In some instances I can imagine there'd be more risk on an outcall but.. Just curious.

I guess on an out-call it's not your space that you're comfortable with and know well - I don't know if they are more risky though? I read the warnings of him as well and I guess if somewhere is your space you know exactly what may be on (or under) any sheets/pillows.

i dont think its common place to drug indies or treat us badly after all,  if anything bad happened i would have a clients personal details as long as i do my security checks and everyone i meet with is told that i am taking details to do my checks so they are well aware of it.

To be honest, i know more about clients i meet with than i would about a one night stand or a first date so i'm not overly worried about it.  I wont be letting my guard down at any time though.

agreed. When I went for my GUM check they said 'sex workers have very low std and HIV rates specifically because they are informed. The worst they see are the amateurs just doing it for drugs or a night out, or the results of those drunken one night stands' I would imagine this level of self awareness for our safety applies to to our precautions with security too and leads to less incidence of violence also? ...I wonder if it helps Indies screen their clients themselves too.

I asked about gum clinics a while ago and someone on here said i may have to push for an hiv test for that reason.  Apparently we are such low risk that they dont always want to do them which is a great thing to know but it wont stop me asking for one each time i go.  And if you do offer owo you can get a throat swab done which i discovered isnt part of the usual health check you get when you go but they dont mind doing it if you ask.

I just said I'm a sex worker and they offered it freely. I think the one I go to they offer HIV testing to all as a rule, but the swab for gonorrhea is not routine. I think the funniest thing was the student nurse staring at my cervix while i got the smears, being shown by the hurse, discussing my cervix in such detail with two people is odd but I didn't mind ;D
