Would you like a shower/drink before you go
Get up while continuing the conversation with them and get ready
Well I guess it's time to get back to the real world, but it was lovely meeting you

If I have anyone trying to take the piss/I don't like/boring me to tears I say/do those type things

On outcalls I do set an alarm on my phone. I say, "Let me just put my phone on silent." I put it in airplane mode and then set the alarm. I set it for exactly the time they've paid for, starting from that moment. So, the initial couple of minutes and hello kiss aren't counted. I'm not dead set on being out the door within the sixty minutes, but I won't go beyond the time they have paid for.

I am going to look for a pretty, delicate watch to wear when I'm next on tour as I generally like to keep an eye on things so that I can see how they are progressing. This can work in their benefit, as well: if the between-pops chatting looks like it may be going on too long a glance at the clock will remind me that it's time to initiate a second round.

I understand that clients may hate that we watch the clock but you will notice that they do, as well: some of them feel mighty cheated if they leave in 45 minutes. I am just careful to respect their money as well as my time and I will never indicate that they ought to leave until their time is up.

I will go overtime when I feel like it. That is my prerogative.

On tour I have a little travel type alarm clock which sits with the lube and condoms on the bedside, so I can glance at it when I reach over to get anything (I can't see it from more than a foot or so away without my glasses, so it's always a deliberate gesture) and like Fabulassie I find punters like to know how much time there is left.

At home I have the music clock, and I know which songs are at 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes, then two hours, and from a few different start points - I have a couple of different playlists both about two and a half hours long so I can vary it quite a lot (and making playlists is fun :)).

Each clock starts when they arrive, and when it stops is entirely up to me.

I use my security buddy.  When I ring him at the beginning of a session, I just tell him to call back at the allotted time in front of the client. Then when I hear my phone vibrate at the side of the bed, I make a point of telling the client that it's my security buddy.  That gives them the prompt they need to get up and get ready.

I always wear watch on my hand and take a look when they don't see. I don't mind if they stay over about 10 min as I don't want them to feel rushed. Usually they take a hint when I get up from bed and start to dress or kiss them and ask if they'd like to take shower.

I bought a plug in digital clock and put it in clear view of bed, when the booking begins they can see the time and know during the booking how much time they have left and when the booking is over. That keeps most clients on schedule and means they know you have been fair.

I usually get up and put my cover up robe on, "it was really nice seeing you, would you like a shower before you go?" :)

Just make sure it's digital (much easier for clients to read) and in clear view of the bed.
I honestly believe most of my clients don't have very good internal clocks - some will book 30 mins then jump up at 20 and apologise for keeping me and others are the opposite but not many will intentionally try to keep you longer than they booked :) I've spent nearly 3 years organising work in 30 minute increments so it's easy to forget most people find guessing time quite hard.

If you need to time without using a clock can I suggest music, you will be able to gage from certain songs as to where you are with regards to time.

I have an internal clock and I dont need an alarm. And I dont mind if they overstay 5-10 minutes as I leave plenty of gap between clients.
I dont like to be perceived as a clock watcher, its the punters most hated thing aabout us.

I completely agree with you.

Also what about just raising your rate about 10BPS, so you might be more relaxed about it.
If I am very happy with my rate I am actually enjoying to even give them 20min extra and they appreciate it a lot and some then even tip.
But not too often, as we know independents still don't get many tips for some reason.

Always wear a watch (digital/backlit if possible as some clients think they are being clever turning their lights off) and set an alarm on your phone/get your security to text you when it's time up. It is absolutely NOT rude to do this and leave bang on 60 minutes if that's what you want to do. I rarely go over time even with regs, time is money after all and if they like you they will return without special treatment.

I was always unsure of this so I went with just using an alarm on my phone. Making them aware of when the time had started and then just popping it out of the way. I like the ideas of playlists though, I have never thought to use music at all never mind as a timer if you like. Can anyone recommend songs that are good for this line of work ? x

I personally think I have a built in clock, I know roughly when an hour is up give or take 5 mins but I always leave plenty of space between my clients so that if I do run over a little then it's no big deal and then I still have time for my shower etc.

I don't do bookings any shorter than 1 hour so I really don't get bothered about running over a little bit if I did 15 min or 30 min bookings then I reckon I would want my eye on the clock cause there are so many guys out there who book for a half hour knowing they can probably get an hour out of you anyway but for a fraction of the price.

On my playlist I have modern r'n'b and easy listening songs, like Jamie foxx, Alicia keys, Leona Lewis. I have a few in there with some reference to the job, like Jeremih 'Down on me' and Nelly Furtardo 'All good things come to an end' - this one is my 50mins song.

A digital mini clock then they know when the time is up. The overstayers will take advantage if they are allowed. A politely firm times up works well. Or would they like to extened?. But most of the time the music is a good one.

For the ones who don't seem to be in any hurry to leave pisstakers I'd love to have a button I could slyly hit that made the countdown clock noise.

OMG, I love you ladies!  That made me chuckle...............

What I can't believe is some of those that are literally still sitting on the bed and I've stood up, put on my robe, started tidying up and he's still sitting there so as was said above, it's my cue to say shower before you leave?

Or I start sort of ignoring them!  I will just wander out of the room and leave them there and start humming to myself as if they are not there!  I know that's rude but in my opinion it's bloody rude to start trying to hang on when we are well and truly done and time is up!

Yes, they do hate the clock watcher phenomenon but I'm at a point now in this job where I couldn't care less.  I'd rather be rude then have the feeling that someone got more out of me then he damn well paid for!
