Am I being paranoid or?

A guy booked me for this afternoon, then I get a text to say he'd been called into work could we reschedule.  Fine, nothing odd there, apart from he specifically mentioned he worked for the Guardian, when he didn't have to at all.

So I'm very sleep deprived in my current hotel and may be seeing things that arent there, does anyone else find it odd that he specifically mentioned where he worked.  As its a paper and they are meant to be running an article on former trafficked girls its made me a bit paranoid, tho why  that would make them interested in an ordinary escort working away to pay her bills is beyond me!

Anyone one else find this peculiar, or am I overeacting?

And why are you believing him in the first place?  Punters lie about their occupations all the time (which makes sense). I highly doubt that a journo working for a  newspaper who keeps presenting prostitution as some sort of "social cancer" where we're all victims, druggies and trafficked women is going to be throwing his job as a "business card"  when visiting hookers. I'm sure he was making an ironic joke. And if not he's a dumb f---ck and tells a lot about the hypocrisy of the Guardian Newspaper.

Dont worry as some men lie, probably wanted to impress you by saying he worked for the Guardian  .. but saying that he may well be a potato peeler instead!!!!
. (I  once received a call;(shall not ever answer witheld numbers again) man saying he worked for tv and could he video me. i just put the phone down as i was quite scared. He left a very nasty message on my voice mail, "look luv i dont want to video you, enjoy youre crack habit"      ok because were all on drugs right. so glad i put the phone down on him.. men will say anything to try and impress women.Or not in that case....

He sounds fine on the phone (very posh), yes why the heck would he say where he really worked no brain cells atm due to lack of sleep!
