Does anyone who uses [removed] or hotels ever wonder if they are bugged? A few years ago a thought like this would have never as much as entered my head or cause me the distress it does now. Cut long story short I moved back to UK from abroad in a really bad way over a year ago mentall and financially. I done a few shifts with this agency and on the first day met this girl, who lived in the same town as me.

We both ended up stop working there and she kept mentioning this flat she leases that she had because of issues with a stalker or something. But she lives somewhere else with her bf. She said she used to use it to see clients and I was welcome to use it anytime. At first I wouldn't even consider it as bit too close to home. Anyway having not worked in a while I really needed money and asked if I could use it just to see one client. I didn't intend on doing it again there at this point and she was down with the keys within a few hours.

After the booking I felt maybe this isn't so bad it's discreet tucked away from main streets. I started to use it more often and agreed on paying a certain amount per booking and it went ok for a while. I did start to notice weird things about the flat though like the blinds in the bedroom being bent in weird locations, almost like you could peek through.  And the guy who lives right next door, seemingly always arriving just after I arrive then leaving just after I leave...and the TV constantly being sat on stand by despite the fact it doesn't even work.

Anyway I asked her about it and she kept repeating how nobody has they keys except me and her bla bla. She would also occasionally turn up at weird times that were inconvenient without saying first when she knew I was there. Basically nothing she says most of the time makes any sense and is seemingly fairly contridictory. I've been trying to get my own place for a while and it's proving to be a nightmare so staying with family ATM and using [removed] only now. Ive previously been in psych wards short term for having these sort of apparently 'paranoid' beliefs and was put on antipsychotic medication although I know what is happening around me is real whether on them or not.

I'll get calls from clients making bookings just to that I make my way to the flat then as soon as I get there the line goes dead, so I'll go back home then get these texts trying to find out in a round about way when I'll be back at this flat but no intention of booking just pretending. If I pop out to the shops or for a coffee or whatever the whole 15 minutes or so my phone will ring relentlessly as soon as I step out the door then stop as soon as I get back in.

As I've been told my basically most people for the last 5 years in 'unwell' I sort of suppress mentioning this stuff I'm just wondering how other working girls would view this situation I'd in it and if you've had experiences this or similar

Your post isn't about hotels or short lets/serviced apartments though, it's about a flat being booked specifically for you to work from by somebody who knows why you want it?

Being spied on is one of the key reasons I never used prossie flats rented for the purpose, but I wouldn't have any concerns about hotels. The amount they would be sued for when found out wouldn't be worth it to them, even if the press wouldn't destroy them first.

It wasn't booked. She leases it apparently. I was more seeking an unbiased option on the situation tbh as it's caused me a lot of distress

Choose one room only to use in the apartment, switch off all sockets/unplug items etc , close all blinds etc and give that room and good check over for hidden cameras etc if your that uncomfortable there don’t use it , and as for the phone constantly ringing - do you ever answer it? Can you possibly switch to aeroplane mode when going out of there etc

That's terrible...

We can get very paranoid-especially if you have
ever had been spied on/stalked /harassed.
We all have intuition - could be your concern is real
in some ways, if not totally...that's my experience.

My sympathies -very distressing to go through.

Well you got an unbiased opinion; that doesn't change because it wasn't what you wanted? Your post said:

Does anyone who uses [removed] or hotels ever wonder if they are bugged?

and that's what I replied to. If something about an incall place was off, most people would just not use it and book somewhere else? By 'booked' I just meant obtained, not that you filled a reservation form in.

To be honest anytime I’m trying to sneak out of the flat after 5 mins I will get plenty of calls  ;D when I seat in and don’t do nothing line is dead  :FF

Definitely. Sit in flat for two hours - nothing. Nip to Aldi ten minutes away - text ahoy ;D

It wasn't what I wanted?  ???

Im confused.

Yes an unbiased opinion on a sensitive situation, didn't think to specify the technicality of lease/how it was booked at the time , it was more on the effect it's had on me.
