Those who have quit escorting
« on: 08 July 2024, 11:35:48 am »
I go through phases of getting tired of it but now feel I've really lost interest.

I know people have different aims for doing this job and the money is great but those of you that have quit, I wondered what made you stop? Do you ever regret it? Have you ever gone back to it?

I'm grateful it's helped me with a lot of financial goals but wouldn't mind an end in sight.

How long have you been working for? And what’s causing the burnout feelings?

And do you have a back up in terms of work you can do if you stop? I think that would be the main thing as you’ll probably end up being pulled back in if you dont have a civvy job, or the same amount of income to rely on from another non expecting source and it may be stressful for you.

But I’m sure other ladies here will give some food advice on how it’s worked for them. Hope it works out for you though  :)

Hi

Nearly seven years now.

I would do ok in just a civvy job and would still cam. Escorting has supplemented my civvy income.

To be honest, I'd probably still take escort bookings as and when but right now I feel like I could take it or leave it.

I wanted to keep up the escorting to secure my retirement and give me more flexibility as time goes on but it just feels like a long, soul destroying slog.

I've gone and come back at it a few times. I'm surprised I'm working again after such burn out mentally last time I'll make the best of it as I'm struggling financially.

You could say you were a carer for a sick friend/relative or raising a child.

Still you can t justify a gap of several years..What about providing fake references such as building a website of a fake company/school etc..they will find it out?

I've taken breaks here and there over the years.

Each time I've stopped has been for the same reason - self entitled regulars who drain my energy levels!

Each time I've come back has been for the same reasons - money and flexible working hours.

On my CV I am self-employed, and have listed a number of different things... house cleaning, babysitting, courier work, hairdressing and dog walking - all of which is the truth, as these are all jobs I have done over the years, alongside escorting.

You have to do whats right for you, look after your health and happiness x
