Hi Everyone,
I'm a total newbie to the site and to escorting and firstly I would like to say that I am so grateful to have stumbled across this portal ...... it is truly fantastic .... thank you!

My situation is I was made redundant this year and was then looking at going back to college and retraining as I am far too head strong for the 9-5 office politics that I've endured so far. Unfortunately the timing was off and I couldn't get onto the course I wanted so will have to wait until next september. In the meantime I would like to escort. A good friend is an ex escort and has given me a wealth of advice and been very encouraging but she definatly falls into the PYT category and was with a high class London agency earning 300+ an hour. I am a different kettle of fish. I am 31, 5'2" and 11 stone so slightly chubby but have 32D boobs which I'm very proud of. I am olive skinned with long dark hair and typical greek features. Now while I'm perfectly happy with my looks I'm not sure how they will effect me escorting. I have been told that having a gimmick of some description could assist me in marketing myself but all I really have is my ethnicity (greek). I will be setting up a website rather than going to an agency and all my pics will be incognito. If I turn up to a client and they turn me away should I still ask for part payment to cover travel expenses?
I will be offering full personal service, softsports, mild bdsm. I want to also offer GFE but do not want to french kiss any clients. Is this fitting?
Also I notice that acronyms are widely used can anyone point me in the direction of an escort acronym definer on the web so that I know what exactly I'm offering?

When starting out though what should I expect to make initially. Say I work five days or evenings a wek would I make as much as working nights or does it not really matter? Also when it comes to the actual visit itself is it normal to only allow the client to cum once per session and charge for extra should they want to cum more. Also how is it best to handle money if a client wants to add extras on during a session. I would imagine that it is best to take the payment before giving the service or is it best not allow any additions during a session or is this what is meant by YMMV?

In my opinion, as long as you know how to sell yourself, and you can find some USPs, unique selling points, then there's no reason you won't succeed.

I personally would do. If a client changes his mind due to no fault of my own then yes, for wasting my time in getting ready and going to see him, I would demand some recompense. Okay, maybe not demand, but I would most certainly ask.

Well, imho, GFE is synonymous with french kissing. If you state on your website that you offer GFE, guys will assume french kissing is a given. On various punting forums this seems to be the opinion of a lot of clients.

It is totally up to you if you don't offer kissing, it's not unheard of. Some ladies don't kiss. But it something you need to make clear on your website before clients come to see you.

How long is a piece of string? Who knows? Escorts have different expectations of how much they should and shouldn't make. It depends on how you market yourself, it depends on the area. It depends on a multitude of things. There's no definitive answer.

If you're advertising as an independent, it is common practice to let a client cum as many times as he can. The cum-once policy is usually reserved if you work in a parlour. That's my impression anyway.

Absolutely take payment upfront and don't let blokes tell you otherwise. They may try it on if they know you're new. In fact you'll get some people who will try and take advantage of your newness.

I wouldn't worry about coming up with a USP. Just be yourself and you'll either work out what your hook is at some point, or find that you do fine without one. Marketing isn't something you need to get right immediately, you can develop it as you go along.

As Brandy said, we can't tell you how much you'll earn. You should expect a slow start if you're only doing hotel outcalls, although if you're somewhere a lot of people visit for business that'll help. For outcalls, I'd say the demand for daytime and evening bookings is about even, maybe a bit stronger in the evening. There's demand at night as well but it's more of a hassle since it involves a lot of drunken impulse punts. If you normally stay up late you can keep taking calls and see how it goes, but don't go out of your way to cover nights.

Escorts generally have an all-inclusive price rather than a menu system, so extras aren't much of an issue. You might have a few specialities that you're willing to do for extra though, in which case it's best to take the money for that with the rest of your fee. Put a note on your website saying that if anyone wants extras they should mention it while they're making the booking, then give them a total price. If they decide they want something extra while they're with you, get the money before doing it. If they don't have it with them you can suggest that it's something to look forward to next time.

Lately I've been advising people not to bother with Moonfruit. A lot of people here started with a site there so it can work fine, but unless you really want a website and don't have any money to spend on one, I don't think it's worth the effort. You'll want to move on to something that you have more ownership of and that will turn up in search results, and since you can get a real web designer to get you started very cheaply, you might as well go straight to them rather than getting a headache building a site and then dealing with a move.

Webeden are pretty good and totally free, unless you opt to pay to remove those flipping google ads.(cost you about ?25)
If all goes well maybe you could use a hotel for incalls?
Play on your "new girl" status to make enough to set up your own place.
Its a good idea to be on local forums too. If you are not a 19teen year old super model type its your personality that must shine through. It works!

You have cleared up plenty of points for me and I still have to decide on whether to invest in my own site or spend time building my own which may not get as much visibility on listings. I've checked out some web builders but the ones I've found are upwards of ?500 for multipage sites. Some shopping around is definately needed.

You've confirmed my thoughts on GFE. I will def have to rethink my position on this as it seems to be such a popular service.

I'm positioned in Berks about 20mins from Heathrow so I'm hoping to pick up a lot of hotel punters that way. And I definately have the personality to make this happen! But only time will tell.

i wouldnt advise really late bookings in hotels due to gents wanting to chill at evenings
and may have alot to drink especially if you havent seen them before x

Thankyou! lol...I quit my moonfruit website and moved onto something different. Its easy to build, but unless you just want to advertise on the forums it doesnt do much good. Im using html now. Im having such a hard time though, I think I want to hire one of those website builders!

Also, I agree with the usp. I cant seem to find a selling point for me neither. Im just me. I just think maybe having several unique things about oneself is enough to attract some attention. But if its the way to go I need someone to give me one $:-\$
