It's an interesting question, just as there's a debate about the proposal in the current Criminal Justice Bill to have an alternative to fines etc for street soliciting. I wonder how accurate the 'hard facts' were.

I know one group who were thinking of putting in a bid to run one of these 'educational' courses. They'd have done it somewhat differently from the usual 'you're a punter and that's WRONG, all prostitutes are horribly exploited' approach...

Unfortunately, nothing came of it, but getting state money to do a 'here's how to be a good client and avoid the problematic areas' course would be really good  :)
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Just one question.

Obviously these punters are getting info from the net or word of mouth or reputation amongst locals or all of the above or one of the other.

would the site(s) supporting red light district be illegal? it appears that there are online sites that are there to offer practical info as to how to access/where to look etc for those who are interested in this particular activity.

Some may feel "tempted" to go down this route as a result?  ???

Basically, no. They don't control the work, for example.

There is a crime of 'conspiracy to corrupt public morals', which was created decided to always have existed in the early 60s when prosecuting someone who published prostitution ads, but its only other outing was ten years later when going after the 'alternative newspaper' International Times for publishing gay contact ads.

A look at, for example, Boyz or QX magazine (gay scene guides including very explicit escort ads) would suggest that no jury is going to convict for either of these now.
