Sorry, I didn't explain fully - I knew exactly what I meant but as if you would! See, not the sharpest knife....
I want a spoof job where I work part time, out of the house so the kids must go to their Grandparents a few days a week in school holidays and after school sometimes in term time. I don't like them home alone as people know so the job needs to be out of the house so they then have to go out of the house. I have been wracking my small brain for the answer all morning.
I thought sales? I could have got a job working in a call centre? No personal calls allowed, get me on my mobile if it's important? It's the best I can come up with. No disrespect to call centre workers but you don't need a degree to do that job and they are fairly easy to come by on the whole and it's the sort of job where I can say 'this will do for a while mother, just to get a bit of extra cash in for Christmas/car expenses and so on, until I get my degree...'
I can't think of anything else at all. A shop job is out, uniform you have to wear, the fact they can turn up at a shop and ask for me at any time and then get a blank look and a 'who?' from the staff.
I know getting a job right now is a stroke of luck but there is no reason why I couldn't have that stroke of luck in the eyes of my family I suppose.
It is half term next week so I will drop the I have a job thing on the family then, to start the week after, just in case it goes ass over tit I will say I am on temporary staff for now.
If anybody has a better one than call sales or call centre, feel free to pass it on. I will suss out what company I am working for next week, so some looking about at what is out there first.
