I had trush this week and I was a little tender still and went back to work, i had a rough fingerer or several and it turned it to a uti, peeing blood has never been more frightening.
I am tempted to ban fingering when i go back to work as for them not to rub me raw.

I discovered last night that amazon have fluconazole capsules for just 1.50! Or a pack of three is five-something. Billy Bargain as I usually pay 7-10 quid for one.

If I go in the local chemist they do their own brand and I think boots do too 2.50 each ...I only found out because this time I asked for a thrush tablet and not a caneston tablet as I usually do .

That's what I thought, but last time I bought a generic Boots one it was nine quid something. Think cheapest I've had in a local pharmacy is about 5.50 - and I always ask for a generic.

Be careful with antibiotics as long term you will build up resistance.

What seems to work for me is no fingering without a condom on the finger (protects me from dirty germ ridden fingers); and badly manicured nails that scratch)  When someone starts to rub my pussy like a boy scout trying to start a fire (oh the height of ignorance), I slap their hands away and ask if they'd like me to handle their cocks in the same way.  Strange how they suddenly "get it" then.

If I feel sore or early signs of thrush, I take acidophollus capsules to boost my protective bacteria levels.  IT must be drunk with cold water only. Not too close to a cup of tea or coffee.  And best to reduce sugar consumption as that seems to create a breeding ground for nasties growth.

I have had chronic thursh, the doctors put me on intraconzole 100mg daily for the next two months in a bit to kill it all off for good.

Its a broader antifungal and its well known for thrush, i only found out about it from lots of research on the internet googling chronic thrush infections. I had to tell my doctor to try me with this cos clotimotrizole and fluconzole wasnt even touching the infection.

Mines cleared up nicely, maybe it could work for you too x

Proboctics help me for it is called Ultimate Flora specifically for the vigina. Keeping it well balanced with the good bacteria.

6 months is a long time to have thrush maybe ask the doctor for more tests. I usually get after they spread thier germs very rare. Some can't use thier fingers properly. Try it you have nothing to loose. I buy from Amazon and they do next day delivery. Diet can play a part in thrush too after 4 days of thrush is a nightmare so cannot immagine how awful this might be for you.

I had chronic thrush until doing Colon Cleanses also that was the first sign of improvement. Sugar feeds yeast.

Also yeast infection can turn in to a systematic problem worse than the standard thrush in one area.

Does anyone know if non-latex condoms are better if you suffer from thrush?

I think it's quite an individual thing depending on your own internal balance of flora, but I try to use non-latex as much as possible and haven't had many episodes at all. I've done lots of other things too though, like not ever washing with soap or shower gel but using a ph neutral wash.

It's already been mentioned on here but baby wipes for me are a no no. They gave me a terrible bout of thrush about 2 weeks ago and it's driven me mad with the itching and discomfort and I don't think I've had thrush in the last 10-15 years. I would never ordinarily use them down below or for work ever and only used them (non work related) because I was at hospital and there was no paper in the toilets. Brilliant tips by the way ladies.
