Hmmmmmm contraceptive happiness

is a very personal thing me thinks. But here's my experience as you asked:
.
I was on the pill which drove me nuts. Plus I ended up pregant whilst taking it! I then had the implant fitted but for me, I ended up with really heavy periods/ bleeding.
So, I now have the mirena coil fitted. I get the usual crappy pmt symptoms but then very light and sometimes no periods! The pros of this are once fitted it is there for 5 years if you are happy with it.
Regarding getting it fitted, I had it fitted under anaesthetic . I mean, full go to sleep anaesthetic lol. This, from the woman who has given birth twice naturally he he.
You can request them to give you a milder version where they will give you a sedative thing and you will be awake for the procedure so it will be more uncomfortable than painful.

At the end of the day the best thing is to try one and see how you tolerate it and if you don't like it keep trying until you find something you are happy with! Oh the joys of being female
